Mine depresses me if i look at it too much!! generally, i will see between 16, and 22 mpg, and thats enough for me! I did manage to get 30.3 mpg on a longer drive a little while ago, but i was crawling! Who cares about petrol, the sound and enjoyment is enough! I put at least a tenner a day in mine, and im only 19 with a part time job, so surely everyone else can afford it!!

What a car though, sleeper material and a half!! When i have kids, or money...............

Yer, thats where i first saw it, on your R32, then started seeing it on other R32's etc.... Bet that plate cost you a mint man!!!

I had a lovely mk2 golf 1.3 when i first passed (made it look like a GTI) which ended up dying, and is sitting on my drive. I then dished out £2500 for a mk4 polo 1.4 16v 100bhp in may 06 which i loved to bits (the nicest car 2 drive ever) Then, about 3 weeks ago, at 18, i swapped it for my luvvly VR6, which I love to bits. It was my mechanics, and i took it out for a spin when my polo was being fixed, and just knew i had to have it! The polo gearbox blew up on him the other day aswell, costing £550 - oops, lucky me!!!!

Excuse me for sounding stupid, but wat does WOB stand for/ wat is it to do wiv vw (R32 in particular!) I have been noticing it on a lot of R32 numberplates, and cant work out wat it means! probs jus bein a blind spanner though......

That really is shit mate. I would love to come and help beat the living cr*p into them! You should get a flamethrower system put behind the door, so if someone breaks in, they will be frazzled haha! Its the only way to do these things, take it into your own hands mate! That is pants though, sorry for you......

So basically, the VR is jus run in then. You can really see what it is like to drive now. I swapped my 1.4 16v polo with 60K for my VR with 115K but jus look at the smile on my face

First thing the front bumper made me think was "mk5 golf gti" but then the rest of it looked shite

V.nice mate, both cars. Bet you love the petrol gauge on the VR!!! HEHE! The wheels on the tdi looked mind, i want a set now. I like the look of the Leather interior............

And the leccy window switches were used in the galaxies. They were same as the VW sharon basically though werent they.

Yer, most of that sounds what like what i am getting mainly. I have only had the car since friday, and have mainly seen between 12, and 28 mpg. I expect when i calm down with it a bit, it should go up...........hopefully!!!!

I know this has probably been asked and discussed hundereds of times before, but ruffly what mpg should i be expecting from my mk3 VR? What is everyone else getting?I don't tend to rag it that much, but give it the occaisonal boot on a straight road. Fuel guzzelers eh!!!!!!
