  1. Ok so so far I have done the following: Oil and filter change (nothing) Oil pressure test (nothing) pressure is spot on. Replaced hi and low pressure switches (nothing) I still have a flashing oil lamp and a dead rev counter. :-( Any ideas (m) Ive even tried things like bridging the bonnet switch, as apparently this can sometimes set of the lamp.
  2. Ok so Ive just completed an oil and filter change and I still have a flashing oil warning light :-( Next step is to get the oil pressure tested. Is it a straightforward job to change the oil pump? Or does it involve extensive dismantling? Am I best to let the garage do it or tackle it myself? Thanks for the replies so far
  3. just spoke to my mechanic he said that theres also a high possibilty it just needs and oil and filter change as the filter could be blocked and is upsetting the pressure. So thats gonna be my first job. Will post if this sorts it. Heres hoping!
  4. The oil warning light has started flashing and at the same time the rev counter has died. Does anyone know what this points to? Is it a sensor or something on its way out? Ive checked the oil level and thats fine. Any help appreciated 96 VR6 Sharan
  5. ...thanks for the replies...managed to get the 3 seats in a row now just bought a set of floor rails from a breakers and moved one of the back seats forward (and a bit of carpet trimming for the extra slots) like u say now the baby seat is in no probs. thanks again
  6. Mines a 96 P reg... the slots then should be in the floor pan but as its a 6 u can only see 6. the back seats are 3 point seat belts so Id have to look out for a seat with a lap belt... hmmm more research me thinks ... thanks for your input much appreciated.
  7. Does anyone on here know if u can convert a 6 seater Sharan to a 7 seater? cheers 'trip
