    The mirrors came as extra's (un-painted) when I bought the car, I stuck them on as the original electric mirrors didn't work. You can still own a VR and have a family with 5-door models.. which is why I had to sell my Corrado VR6!

    Just some more pics taken after a wash... evening shot so quality isn't the best: I don't know whether to next get smoked front indicators/spots or smooth out the front bumber and relocate indicators to headlights...? Also, anyone had a go a spraying the front spolier/splitter themselves??

    The adjustment for the outer ring is in the wing and can't get to it by finger - do you need a tool for this or will I have to remove the headlamp and do it?

    coilovers is what most people go for... koni adjustable ones are pretty pukka...

    Been driving around and the outer ring centre bulb beam from the lights points upwards and illuminates the tree's more than it does the road? Can I adjust this with the white knob thingy ontop of the lights? If I put the full beam on [blue light on dash] then the road just infront of the car lights up... have i got these connected the right way round?

    Well my misses loves them cause they light up the whole street and it helps her to see in the dark - just hope she doesn't dazzle someone else and they veer into her!

    I rang VW and they said something like £295 for 4-wheel alignment - your best bet is stealth (warwichshire, 25min tops from Solihull), they quoted me around £94 and I will be taking mine there... got similar problem to you but I've been lazy!

    My misses has given me £150 so I'm going to use it on the VR... and after the last 100K service the mechanic said my leads would need replacing soon.. so looking at a set of magnecor leads.. more specifically the 8.5mm red ones (match my brakes). I've read that the plastic lugs will have to be filed away for them to fit. Is there anything else I should do/know before I purchase them? I keep seeing "There is no coil lead in this set" from most sites - is this anything to worry about? Or how would you spend £150 on your motor?

    I probably will eventually... I've got the old plates in the boot.. I'm sure I might be able to make up some blag on the spot??

    Cool... I just popped outside now (in the dark) to give them a test and they are really REALLY bright... I had them checked out out a garage earlier on and he said they were fine - no adjustments after I installed them - they come on in the same order you said... do you get any people flashing you?

    Changed the front lights for FK angle eyes and replaced the rear lights with smoked ones. Swapped the plates with some classic black on silver. front rear

    in the end I didn't bother with the harness provided as part of the kit.. just plugged them straight in and they worked ok.. got them checked out and all ok.. happy days!

    Thats what I'm getting.. so I take it that is ok then...? I would have just liked the 2-rings on with ignition and DIP but you can't have everything.

    Cut into your existing air-box (leave the right-side in place [against the engine]), add a cold air feed to it from the front... easiest way

    You got the harness that comes from the battery then splits to left and right headlight - right headlight has 2 clips (red and grey one) that connect to existing car harness and the angel eyes (male-to=female clips only connect one way i.e can't swap them around) - left headlight has one clip that connects to existing harness and then the angel eye [the diagram is quite good even I understood it]. What I don't get is with the car off just the rings come on with side lights turned on, then with ignition/started the main beam comes on with the side-lights? Dipped beam works ok? If you guys have

    I bought a pair of fk angel eys for my VR6 (97)... connected it up via the diagram provided (pretty hard to get it wrong as the clips only fit one way) and did a test before fitting them and ran into a problem: - Halo rings only come on, on there own when sides lights are on and IGNITION is off. If I start the car, then the main lights come on with the rings? I've tried connecting them up differently, but no luck? Anyone else got round this? I could run around with them as they are but I don't want people flashing me when it's only early evening and my side lights are infact normal beam.

    If you want to have a bash then go for it (I dont know sizes) - but i'd rather pay someone else to change it.

    if it's any use - I purchasd a code reader from Germany for £20.. it's handy for reading faults - it isn't VAG.COM but it does the job.

    If the display is electronic - there will be a company out there who can do it and supply a certifacte to show it's been done properly. just going to have search...

    Has it ever been changed? How many miles has your motor done? When mine went, just got a re-conditioned one for £50 fitted.
