  3. This goes without saying....! Got it down to a Fabia VRS or a Mini Cooper.... still hunting.. prices for these toys are hitting my budget with no spares for improvements...!
  4. Already had an S3 last year...lost some money on it.... plus only remap'd ones are fun to drive! 4-motion will just be another petrol guzzler... After thinking about it, I am coming round to the skoda idea.. don't see them around.. if you detail it right and perhaps get it in black.. could be another undercover wolf?
  5. Skoda.. i like the idea of the rempa.. but even my misses will know it's a skoda... Next...?
  6. You got the wet-n-dry paper.. ? Think you needs grades of 1000-2000grit?
  7. and she wants a car! So I will have around £3K to smack down as a deposit and get rest on 0% credit card finance. She currently drives the VR on a daily basis and loves the power.. so she is a bit of speed freak... but she wants something for herself (as I'm always tinkering with it and moan I don't get much of a chance to drive it - I'm stuck with the GTi). As with most women it's gota be a bit funky and stand out.. so obvious choice was Mini Cooper? Max budget I can push is around £8K. Options?
  8. I'd buy one of these for my daughter!
  9. SNAP! [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1178047261_4477_FT172760_vrcar7.jpg][/lightbox] Sweet ride mate... I couldn't get the S3 alloys at the time.. had to make do the TT rims..
  10. If it's any use, I bought this silicone kit http://www.venairsport.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=36_54&products_id=535 and installed it last week on the VR with a full set of jubilee clips from the same company for £18... does the job and looks the business: [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1177925754_4477_FT172450_after1.jpg][/lightbox]
  11. The £105 you paid includes the transfer fee onto another car. Check out www.regtransfers.co.uk - there are a fair few VRG ones on there.
  12. Every saturday about an hour (inside/out).. every month about 3-4 hours.. wash, clay, autoglym resin then meguiars! Just need the balls to attack some bits of the car with wet n dry!
  13. so you found a grommet to feed it through?
  14. it's flippin hard work and a killa on the shoulder.. i never though polishing could get so technical...
  15. I will try and turn up to this.. be my first meet apart from bumping into a few of you guys at UD and GTI festival... looking forward to it..

  17. Do you have any car audio/alarm specialists in your area? Try pop along and get some friendly "free" advice first and they might be able to give you some options?
  18. You could run it of one 4-channel amp.. bridge the two channels for the sub, and use the remaining two channels with a crossover for the mids/tweets? I've always gone for rockford fosgate in the past and they have been spot on.. duno if there still available. JL audio are your best bet..? Why don't you go the whole hog like this dude at GTI festival: [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1177573662_4477_FT171753_15042007862.jpg][/lightbox]

  21. 300 sheets for a refurb.. blimey.. I just had my 17" done (completely nailed by the misses).. £190 and done in one day. BBS Splits will cost you... for about £450 you can pick up a nice 17" set with new tyres... premium members get a discount from rochford tyres.. check them out?
  22. Do the adapters have an effect on wheel geometry.. wheel bearings etc.. will they wear more.. will I have to get tracking all done...?
  23. I'll go with 5x112... do u still have details/link of where u got the adapters from? If I wanted to sell them on, would it be new shape Audi's and Merc's...?
