    I know its a way away, but King Automatics in Epsom will give sound advice and rebuild the box if you can get the car there.

    I highly recommend King Automatics in Epsom (as does Honest John in the Daily Telegraph). They have kept my wife's auto going through similar problems. Telephone 01372 728 769.

    The best I've achieved in a year is 33 mpg after 20 miles down the motorway at no more than 60mph (in an auto).

    I think you may have the same problem I had. Bought the Sony head unit with front USB, plugged in my Sony mp3 NW-E405 and same result. The "old" ones don't play out through USB only the headphone jack - you need a new one NW-E005 that can (or Samsung). Anyone want a NW-E405 going cheap?

    My N reg (LOVE IT) does have a buzzer, but my wife's L reg does not seem to have one.

    Mine's a 95 N with 82,000 & hers is a 93 L with 85,000.
