    Tyre seems fine, and there is no clunking on slow or tight corners that I'd expect from a knack'd cv joint. Maybe worth inspecting the back o.s wheel?!

    I've got a wheel bearing type of noise at >40mph, prominent when turning left, but constant rather than the traditional "wub wub wub" that is symptomatic of a wheel bearing. Inspection of the driver's side front bearing, with the wheel off, would suggest no excessive play. Any ideas anyone - before I bite the bullet and do the wheel bearing anyway? Cheers,
