  1. another thread resurection.... engines gone..now looks like this... Dash removed...(very quickly i might add) by my wife.. Hopefully as the 24v sump is a bit shallower there will be a bit more room down here... sadly the 24v is still sat on a pallet. The guy we bought the lump/loom etc off from e38 forgot to put the engine loom and a few other parts on the pallet when it was collected. He said hed posted the loom down nearly 4weeks ago but wont provide us with proof off postage so we can track it and hasnt mentioned the other parts that are missing. He's now refusing to reply to pm, pho
  2. cheers, the side exit is a bit of a marmitemod. Im happy with it though. Thanks to admin for resetting my original login details Gav
  3. had similar on a vr and changed the valve stem oil seals with the head on. Didnt cure it so now looking at changing rings and having head refurbed. No loss of power but it its charged and losing nearly 7psi, think this may be blowback. Did a compression test and although the rear bank were oily all ssemed within tolerance (but it was a dry test). Leakdown test wasnt conclusive
  4. you too buddy, ive still got your pliers, tried pming you off e38 to get you addy when we got back Hopefully see you at e38 Gav

  9. some more pics from the weekend and a couple of vids of other half going up the strip, pretty good for only 2psi, 0-60-6.44 sec and 1/4 mile- 15.06
  10. there also available in the uk, about 15quid iirc. Ill try and find the part number Gav
  11. Sorry to hijack, jay, anymore details on changing the rings by dropping the sump with the head on?
  12. cracking show, not sure if the weather will hold out or not. Just off jct 6 of the m40 iirc Gav
  13. that company is mc racing in switzerland. The belts are available from them, the smaller pulley belt is available in the uk as is the toothed belt version. the larger multi v alternator belt is available from RUF motorsport in switzerland or through mc racing. The z is a good charger, we fitted one to my other halfs rado last year, on standard inj with a leaking headgasket and belt slip still managed 284bhp 261lbft. This was using a rising rate fuel pressure reg. Highly recommend wayne @chipwizards in rochdale, top bloke and went out of his way to help. Gav
  14. try mc tuning in switzerland they do parts for the zed now
  15. slacken off the tooth belt drive slightly, sounds like its too tight. This will reduce the wailing noise considerably Gav
