  1. I use alloy sealnt its silver/grey you can get it at good motor factors. Failing that just use a good RTV sealant it is only a very thin layer after all.
  2. Maybe, but that much? Has insurance really gone up that much in a year?! They charged me a grand this year though so they are getting their money back, bastards.
  3. Guys there is a filling hole on the top of the box!
  4. I personally think thats too much, I was paying £500 last year when I was 30 with all mods declared and 500hp limit and an agreed value of £4.5k. Thats with 3 points and doing 10k a year.
  5. I am interested to know what management you ran on this and on your new R36T? If you are using standard how are you able to get it idle as the minimum injector spray duration is 1.6ms and with massive injectors that is a lot of fuel! Are you running lower fuel pressures?
  6. You will need to put the box in neutral to pull the tower out. Its got sealant on it so gentlt brake the seal. There are 2 sizes of shift tower though so make sure it is exactly the same as your old one.
  7. Box takes 2 litres. Drive cups can just be tapped in gently with hammer. I see no advantage as to when you put it in. Get some pics up of the bracket if you can, I hope you aren't talking about the shift tower.
  8. There are 2 clips at the bottom below the headlights. One either side about 2"s in from the ends. You need a flat head screwdriver to push the protruding tabs upwards.
  9. Im sure its a 7 but Im pretty sure you can only get 3s now!
  10. As Craggsy has said its similar to diesel direct injection but for gasoline. The top 3 injectors are 8" long to reach from the front right through to the rear bank of combustion chambers. I will try and get some pics up as my plan is to pull the head off at the weekend after Ive got back from Storm.
  11. 1600ccs!!! You are going for 1000hp then? I have seen the HGP manifold and when Andy at Storm approached them they wanted to sell him the whole twin turbo kit! Which was fine but they then said they were not going to make anymore kits!
  12. Ah right, what are you doing about the inlet manifold and fsi problem?
  13. Wow that guy is putting an R36 head on an R32 bottom end! No mention of either manifolds though. Good call Rix, thanks. Will keep an eye on that one.
  14. There is loads of other bits you will need and the price for shipping will not make it worth buying.
  15. There is a lot of work gone in to that James and its very impressive and inspiring. Good to see the turbos still in good shape What fuel pump and pressure are you running out of interest?
  16. Thanks James. Will get some more pics and an update after the weekend.
  17. Looks really clean and tidy mate. Andy said it is proper quick. Run her in and up the timing and she'll really fly.
  18. Just move it from side to side and then pull it down.
  19. Boras run 225/45x17s, the rolling radius of the tyres is just way too big mate you need to change the tyres to 195 or 205/40x17 same as the rest of us.
  20. Yes mate, and the 02a is easy, but you do need the right tools. Drilling and drifting those big **** off rivets out of the crown wheel is the hardest bit, but its not rocket sience.
  21. If you are going out the bottom you will need to get the rear gearbox mount off which is a real pain sometimes. It is fairly straight forward mate, just go for it. Forgot to mention that you need to remove the two bolts holding the clutch cylinder on to the box and the 13mm bolt holding one of the gearlinkages on. If you dont have the shafts right on reassembly, ie too low then you csnt lift them up past the sump and subframes etc. Alex
