  1. Do you still need to relocate the mounting cup on the subframe with your version?
  2. Good man, mine came over in about 5 days!
  3. I would be interested at the right price. It looks to be made from thinner gauge material than the dutchdub jobbie. Will it take 700+ hp?
  4. The MK3 will be too heavy, old and expensive to convert to 4wd. The 4 motion will need the handling and brakes sorting and Im not keen on the MK5 at all! Im thinking more along the lines of an Audi S3.
  5. Its slowly getting done but I will be moving soon to start another job so will really be able to crack on and finish it! After Andy @ Storm made 668hp @ 6000rpm these engines are going to need more than a MK2 or MK3 chassis and 4WD will be a must. What do you guys reckon I should go with?
  6. Cant remember exact number but it was around £500 delivered with bearings and seals. No I didnt have to pay customs.
  7. Yes I bought mine from Pete@the scirocco.com
  8. Pete on thescirocco.com is the cheapest on the net for a Peloquin. http://www.thescirocco.com/peloquin.html
  9. It can be slid out over the lip but you have to get everything at just the right angle!
  10. It can be done from in the car in about 20-30 minutes!
  11. If its the high pressure side (hard pipe) its alot, the pumps are rated at 90 bar! So you will need hard pipe and proper hoses if its that side.If its just the feed from the reservoir bottle you can use what ever you like.
  12. That is so strange its got a 3.2 cam cover on it.
  13. Ive had them behind TT Comps and RS4 replicas I am also using 10mm hubcentric adapters and there is literally a fag papers clearance!! The only pic Ive got mate from last year! Alex
  14. Ive got them on mine. I run Brembo Seat Cupra R discs 328s and Mintex pads. They stop ok, but they will squeal like nothing else if you dont use the Porsche shims £100 for a set of 4. Porsche pads are not that expensive tbh maybe worth a try.
  15. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/mbt-Carrier-140-for-High-Performance-Brake-Callipers_W0QQitemZ290280953933QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item290280953933&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 I got my adapters from this guy. He does two different types. They are blank so they will need machining drilling and tapping. Im pretty sure I made him an offer of about £50 but has been over 2 years.
  16. Hell yeah Im serious and no I haven't mate, lol!
  17. Help the rings seat properly, which is aided by forcing the rings into the bore with hard acceleration and engine braking. Drive it like you stole it is the best way to run an engine in!
  18. If you ring Andy @ Storm Developments on 01189810963 he will do you a good deal on a Rotrex supercharger. I think its around £2200 for the kit maybe less. Alex
  19. Tappets shatter on these. The ones to go for are the gttdi 130s.
  20. Looks really clean. Now its fixed Andy I will be up for ride! Have to agree with you James welds look spot on. Welding was done by Mark at MKSmith Fabrications.
  21. You need to pull 5th out of the box to swap the final drive anyway. It will be quicker to 60 with the shorter ratios. 4th gear will be perfect for the rolllers if you dyno the car alot which I used to do. I have to confess I will be keeping my 02m ratios stock when I fit it next year with the 3.6. If I was sticking with a 12v I would stick with the close ratio one. If you put a 0.71 5th you will gain a tiny bit on the top end, I mean 2 mph at 160 or so.
