  6. I am not sure about the rears as I had them done with the new brakes. The fronts I am paying £26 each. My car is in at this very monent getting them replaced. I am paying £78 a side in total to have a new front bearing fitted, then another £25 for tracking/camber adjustment. Deathbob
  7. Blue is cool, at least in isnt another purple one, and people say green ones are unlucky.....and of coarse red ones go faster, as the million stone chips should prove.
  8. I know there are loads of threads about timing chains but I ain't found out what I want to know. Is there a easy to buy complete kit with all the parts? Or do you need to get them all as seperate parts from VW? Also what kinda cost for the parts - I need the usual bits, chains, guides and tensioners. I have seen USA ebay offer complete kits for $130 ish but no UK suppliers. Thanks folks Deathbob

  14. I have a 98 ( 97 really) and no tailgate light. Deathbob
  15. I tried the claybar first, mcguires quick clay, followed by turtle "extreme wax". Took some elbow grease but worth it. Deathbob
  16. 99 975 miles, expecting my letter from the queen when i hit 100 000 miles next week.
  17. I wouldnt say the gmax kit is too soft,I wouldnt want the ride to be any firmer. The problem for me is compounded by the near side bumper being a bit out of shape where it meets the wheel arch. You can notice it a little in the pics earlier in this thread. The off side is a bit rusted too so a visit to the body shop has always been on the cards. One problem always seems to lead to another!! More to follow once i see the body shop on sat. Deathbob
