  1. prob not worth it. when you do it you;ll see just how easy it is ;-)
  2. it's clipped on. And the clips themselves clip into the bonnet so moving it from one car to the other should be easy, removing it certainly is. you will not damage the paint either through removing it or running the VR without it.
  3. Hiya Dan. Yep, I can see your membership notice. The members secretary is busy at the moment and will do it when she can. Starting from next month we are going to allocate more resources, ie I'm going to help out ;-)
  4. other than the one you saw the other day I'd have to say yes.
  5. it should start when the ignition is one. it also runs for a while once the engine and ignition is off until the temp drops. buzzing is normal and gurgling is common,
  6. think you should at least do the first two items on the solutions list. the TB adaptes itself if you leave the ignition on without starting the car for 15mins. I'm sure someone will offer to have a look see at inters. we all do like poking around vr lumps ;-)

  10. when I go shopping in mine I have to buy ice-cream otherwiseI'd never get home ;-) Although, I have been known to drop of the ice-cream and go straight out again as I was having so much fun.
  11. I agree, the shortest I've owned a car was a year. the Croma, cost me £350, both rear calipers seized: £250 a pop from a factors, so had to go.

  13. yep, jim potter has done on his vrt. you only need side and dipped apparantly
  14. very few things direct from VW are good value ;-) if you can I'd wait until GTi International as you never know what you might find on a trade stand or auto jumble.
  15. afaik the aux pump is the same for all 12V vr6 engines regardless of size/age. the corrado 2.9 only ever came in obd1
