    I have a cleaning disorder so the winter actually is my worst time of the year. most of my weekends are taken up cleaning dirty things including my VR however i don't ever really let it get that dirty i have been known to take it to the garage at midnight for a pressure wash so that i'll be able to sleep without it haunting me.

    i very nearly cried. Whatever is going on in some peoples minds, its frightening to think that he probably drove around in that thinking he looked awesome, at least if he got caught speeding he could plead insanity and the police would believe him ! LOL

    We (Ns Racing) just bought a '53 plate R32 for £9k weds gone! Minter as well! That is a bloody bargain , i can't wait as they are slowly falling into my price bracket !!! Woo Hoo I think that the R32 is the only car that i will change my VR for. Dave

    Give it a couple of years and you'l be able to get a nice MK4 R32 for under 10k.i've looked at all the other options as i was considering a change and TBH i couldn't find anything that was quite as cool as a golf. I always go through fazes of thinking about getting shot of the VR but i've still got it .lol.

    clean the throttle body, i had the same problem it was bloody embarrasing when it kept stalling infront of people, anyway got the throttle body cleaned and problem solved, apparently this is common on VR's. worth a try mate. hope it helps Dave

Basically it would seem that for bottom end you want smaller diameter air intake, and a larger diameter air intake for top end. I think this is why the vw motorsport intake manifold works so effectively basically because it has a butterfly valve that uses smaller intake diameter at bottomend to compress the airflow and almost create a forced induction effect and then the butterfly opens at topend for more free flow air supply when the pulses are more rapid.     Buy the proper spark plugs from VW. The lead tool is shit, i think that you can buy metal ones from VW, or if you can't be bothered like i couldn't you could take you car to VW buy the plugs and they probably wont charge you alot(Saturday morns is always good to try and get freebies) to quickly put them in for you.     That is the oil i use mate and its spot on, its semi synthetic not fully. Its the only oil i'll use in my VR. Dave

    They look a pretty good company mate judging by there web site, TBH if a garage has got the four wheel alignment gear they should be able to use it, its not a hard job so i think you should be fine, shame you don't live round norwich way, my local tyre and exhaust place has got all the laser alignment gear he did mine for £20 cash. I watched him do it and it looks really easy to do, i can't understand how some places justify there prices. Dave

However if you are driving a beautifully crafted car such as a VR6 or a 360 or a mercielago people tend to notice you but for the right reasons. lol.

    Give me a porsche 911 turbo over that anyday. Fair enough its got loads of power but IMHO it looks horrible, the body kit looks like it was a free gift from cornflakes and the spoiler has got to be from Halfords.lol Each to there own tho, thats just my opinion. Dave

    My mate works at a VW main dealers and apparently they are now using GTX magnatec i don't know if thats all the dealers but definately the one in Norwich.

    SHIIIIITT !! One of those days, i put my car keys throught the wash, i thought i was doomed but popped the Toad fob apart and hair driered it and it still works !!! However good are Toad alarms !!! the only problem is the wash progress seems to have drained the battery. So my advice is next time you wash your keys do it on a cool wash and hang dry !!LOL No seriously i found a web site which was really good for new batteries for your alarm well cheap and prompt service you just select your alarm make ect.... www.gadgetbatteries.co.uk I just thought it must be because Toads are anphibians.. lo
