You think 1st gear is short try having a turbo R32! First is gone in a blink when gunning it

craggsy got a reaction from Gwr corrado in Track day junkies
I try to get to as many trackdays as I can. It's a great laugh doing em.
Last time out was at snetterton in the rain, left angel of a lot of stuff behind, it almost fekt like I had track to myself so kept getting back end out to learn just how much grip the R32 has. Taught me a lot that day, getting 400+hp on to track in the rain is difficult but fun

craggsy got a reaction from Swivelonit in Are all 4 motion boxes the same
I'm almost positive that 02M boxes are different from 4 pot to 6 pot as I had a diesel box and bell housing looked smaller.
Are you sure yours came from a 1.8t? And not the 3.2 TT

craggsy got a reaction from Bealieboy in Multiple questions, that I have been pondering,,!
R32 sump is shallower, you'll need either oil pump or just the pickup pipe can't remember which.
The brake thing is entirely up to you, 312s with proper pads will work well and you'll only need caliper carriers and discs depending on year of your car.
All the other options will need adapters to get them in the mk3.
Wheels, well, any will fit with adapters so choice is yours

craggsy got a reaction from Swivelonit in Newbie here looking to get back into a VR
Not always. Been 4 yrs easy since I stopped driving a mk3, and I won't be going back to one but having a turbo'd R32 helps lol

craggsy got a reaction from bennyk in C&R enterprise's, any good?
Steve creswell, if he still owns it does know his stuff, but has a reputation from the past. I've been around awhile so remember things.
Though not heard anything about them in years.
Just for comparison try stealth racing in Southam, what he doesn't know about the VR6 isn't worth knowing

craggsy got a reaction from michael5556 in Events for 2015
Southern worthersee is a bit far and hard to drive to
Takes 8 hrs to fly to the USA let alone drive
