can anyone help? i need a picture of a vr6 1994 front struts and springs etc. mainly the top mount assembly i.e spring cup, bearing and bush. for some reason i cant seem to get it right, ive tryed fitting the bearing in both ways but the top of the strut spring cup & bearing are solid and not moving on the bearing, ive bought new spring cups, top mount bushes and bearings but it still doesnt help. i think i must be putting something togethr wrong. help please. thanks damo

ive looked at my mates mk3 gti he's got a 60mm drop on a viper tech kit and its fine. but his top spring cups look totally different to mine. they look as if they give more clearance.

i got koni yellow shocks, all i know about the springs is that there bilstien. ive spoke to venom motorsport about this and he reckons it should only have a 30mm drop max. so im clueless to this now.

yeah im using standard ones mate. i just cant figure it out, if i take the bump stops out it just sits on the shocks, ive just got some new standard bump stops, the shocks are brand new, and the springs are about a year old, ive spoke to my local vw garage and they said to put bigger bumpstops in.

yeah ive tryed that mate but stil sits on bump stops, ive cut them to about a inch now.

ive just put koni shocks on my vr6 to sell it but it seems to be riding on the bumpstops at the front. (i think) the shocks are adjustable. and i'm running 60mm bilstien springs, not sur if it's got something to do with the top spring cups. please help?

i had the same problem with mine and changed it for a k+n panel filter now its fine, not sure if it need's re-mapping
