I had a string of 13 VW's mk 2's Mk3's and a Corrado. I ended up buying a Nissan Almera GTI - a decision i made with the head and not the heart. I bought it as i found everytime i bought a dub id want to mod it and constantly spend money making it look the business!! So i though if i bought something that was quick enough and reliable and not a dub i wouldnt spend out all the cash. To be fair to it i didnt have a problem with it - i just felt style- less, a complete gypo to fair. Handled well though.

I think its the UFO thing thats fooked- its supposed to be a vacuum of sorts - im going to see if ford have one in stock tomorrow. Ive also asked a mechanic friend (whos a VW specialst) waiting for his reply :-)

Ok peeps seeing as its really quiet on the forum. Ill start a debate. Whats you rant on the Jap car versus German car Mad mental in your face turbos or understated Q cars? I love Pete8tch's mates Skyline - awesome. But then i think personally if i had the money - id either buy an R32 and get it remapped or id spend some mad money on a Golf VR6 Syncro and start chasing off Mitsubishi lancers (in a straight line anyway, and as long as it wasnt that FQ400!l lol)

Well the VW/Audi specialist i deal with tell me not to use anything else- (mind you my cars chipped) It is expensive though. I think there is a difference - the car feels more responsive. Ive been using 97 RON super unleaded too. I suppose it depends on how flush your feeling.... It doesnt do any hard using normal unleaded.

Yeah id go with Stu on that- for 50 quid for an ABS ecu is cheap enough- ive heard they are very expensive new!!! And its the easiest thing to replace. If you dont use it - you could always sell it on ebay for more than that..... And ive also heard they are known to go kaputt...

No, never- but Forza is tipped to be just as good. I had a demo - and it is awesom!!! (Better than PGR2!)

haha... Sounds great fun- trying to get my brother to buy the game - desperately want a burn round the 'ring in a tuned up R32 - i suppose its better than dreaming ....... Still waiting for Forza Motorsport on Xbox- thats going to be one to watch .....

No, not yet buddy. Ive found out somewhere i can get the part (as VW want 115 quid as youve got to buy the whole inlet pipe!!) Euro Car Parts do one for 30 quid. However i dont want to do this until i know this is the problem. I dont believe that VR's are occasionally supposed to smoke- especially with 69k on the clock! - if it was moking while changing gear then i would say valve seals - but it doesnt! If it was a sticking ring i wouls definitlely know about it but besides from noisy(ish) tappets the car runs fine.... JaysVR6 had a similar problem but it just went away... Guys anyone fancy ch

Yeahs he a member on here - chec k his profile and see whne he last logged on- he might of supplied his email address when he joined- if not give me a shout fella :-) I paid 95 quid for mine all in. Spoke with Big Boys Toys yesterday- they said that because they were waiting so long for the Magnecor they upgraded me to the 10mm items. Dubious.... Anyway they said they should be getting a set of proper 8mm Magnecor leads in for me and they will send them to me and i can post the other ones back once ive put them on my car :-) Happy with that :-) Im still happy with them though. Youve seen them

lol - i had the same feeling when changing the chip in my ECU and the car wouldnt start lol. Possibly someone already glused it in before?? lol I had 2 nicked from my previous Golf!! SOund about the easiest option realy unless you want to go to all the hassle of fitting a new cable! :-(

Ive always used carb cleaner. Works well. And a mechanic friend advised me to do it so im happy doing it :-)

Yeah id be up for it - depending on cost - as im going on holiday soon and my mrs would kill me if she knew i was spending my money on this lol..... Find out price etc devilfish :-)
