    Were they original (or were they fitted after- maybe bought second hand?) Maybe worth checking the wiring if its the latter.... Not sure if its the former- could be the module/ switch....
  2. Wish i could afford one- but its out of the question at the moment- but at least i know ive got the drivetrain to take it :-) And its left hand drive so it would be easier to fit i spose- how much are they anyway?

  4. yeah i know what you mean Claire, Thing is i remember cos im usually on hold for about 30 minutes before getting to speak to them..... However Adrian Flux couldnt match the quote i had from HIC, and brentacres words were 'dont turn that doen as we cant get anywhere near that' Even one of the mangers (Lee) came on the phone and asked who- told him and he was shocked.... I havent tried Greenlight yet though. Any others that are worth trying peeps?
  5. Not good at all. Maybe it was just the person you were speaking to??? Im with them at the mo and im only paying 100 quid more than i was with the other VR..... and thats all the other mods declared...

  15. Wasnt criticising your choice of power m8, as you say 25BHP is nothing to increase by, however running 300, surely there would be some kind of issues (with regard to reliability) running that on a stock motor? I ask because i dont know much about it.... Whats wrong with your current engine?
  16. I thought running NOS in a standard VR6 was a no no if you want the engine to last.... Enlighten me.... ;-)

  20. Cheers guys. The drive home was great- didnt boot it as i was crapping myself!! There are some right nutters out there. Once back on UK roads it was doddle - apart from roundabouts- nearly went the wrong way on the first one in the UK (but i was v. v.tired ;-)) Gave it a little bit more on the b road leading to my house which is brilliant- 2 long sweeping bends and then up a hill into a small narrow county lane. It feels on a par with my last VR- (although its quieter and the clocks are in KPH so im having to judge the speed) but one thing i have noticed is the grip and composure! On long ben
  21. Hello all, got back safely on what was a well planned trip but was a long day- no sleep in 24 hours meant lots of arguing wit the mrs lol.... Caught a coach from GLoucester to Gatwick, then a flight to cologe then a taxi to Bornheim near cologne. Sopent a good few hours going through things with Fred (the previous owner) receipts , history etc etc, and then set off at about 1:30. Drove back from Cologne through Belgium to Calais on the E40. If the cooling system has been neglected it might just be more shit coming out of the system shail...... if its pressurising (where the head gasket is leaking from a cylinder to the coolant system then the pipes would be rock hard...... If it is fron an oilway to the coolant its harder to trace. Any white gunk on the oil capor the dipstick?
