  1. my rear arches have been rolled ;-) So you take the collars down or up the strut to lower? Do you need 2 spanners? i only have one?
  2. yeah i remebering you mentioning before Si- been trying to ask you about it for months but your a hard man to get hold of! ;-) Really couldnt believe the difference it made- steering is lighter and more communacative, 4wd drive seems to be much more apparent, and most of all- no more rubbing! roundabouts have become so much more fun!!!
  3. definitely an improvement! not a fan of the blue dash at all! looks much more classy with black :-)
  4. yeah, looking a lot better nick :-) lowering the arse end tomorrow though- get those rims under the arches :-D then front coillies possibly a touch more- depending on if the ABT spoiler can handle it!
  5. take the fuel line off at the fuel rail and make sure its pumping fuel... Has the emerald ECU been programmed? Are the cams connected to the crank? ;-) Seriously though first 2 are something id look into- could be a faulty ECU? Possinly an immobiliser (if you have one) as some do let the car turn over.....
  6. OK as ive now got some strched Toyos on the VR i now need to lower the car some more at the back... looking at the coilover- which is the correct way to turn to lower the car? Turn the spanner to the left or right?? From memory arent there 2 big nuts? I take it i move the bottom one down first and then the top one?? (I have H&R coilovers) Anyone got any other tips? They seem in pretty good condition (threads not corroded etc) but any tips on making it an easy job would be appreciated... :-)
  7. Just had a set of toyo 205/40/17 TI-S fitted to the car (to replace the 215 and 245 bridgestone potenzas)- what a difference!!!! Really helped the 4WD for a start- feels so much nicer and responsive... Steering is nowhere neer as heave either. Big thanks to Tommy and Minty for pointing me in the right direction at E38... :-)
  8. persuaded, what the hell- would be interesting to see if mine is putting out more than a reliant robin at the wheels! ;-)
  9. Think you can still get them Nick iirc. Try AwesomeGTI :-)
  10. Looking lovely Pete- about time too :-) ;-)
  11. nightmare!- hope thats not what it is on mine! I shouldve gone for a spin with you when you were at E38... :-(
  12. thats the engine mount mate- when under load the engine tilts toward the bulkhead, when deccelarating its the mount landing back on the subframe..... Get a vibra technics one if youve got the cash.... :-)
  13. A29 VRG would be nice. I did see V6 AWD and wanted it badly, until Rich pointed out that i couldnt have it anyway! doh!
  14. no its just a right pain in the ass- because the mnaifold is deep it means if you do it without the tool- you risk pulling the lead away from the boot- try getting 1 magnecor lead! You can use long nose pliers but even these are awkward- just get the tool- its so much easier! (it works with aftermarket leads too)
  15. yeah got to agree with Rich there- it is pretty good at masking swirl marks on dark colours, but that P21S does definitely give a really deep shine to paintwork- i was impressed with it at the weekend....
  16. Hi Gary- good to hear your still smiling :-) Claire- a xmas meet sounds cool! :-)
  17. lot of money, but black magic is a bad colour to get wrong, ive seen Justins and that looks fairly mint ;-) maybe worth getting a few more quotes just to put your mind at rest..... How the f*ck does Tommy keep the paintwork on his so mint? Considering he doesnt use a bonnety bra? It must be that bubblewrap he uses.....
  18. Truly awesome Si, well deserved trophy at E38 too :-D The colour looks even more amazing in that garage light as well!
  19. the sound is definitely nicer with the milltek- its subtle and still got a nice burble when you start up - real nice.. new Magnex i had on my old VR was a big let down- crap sound.... i currently have some obscure german zorst on mine which i like the sound of- if it werent for that id be going for one definitely- they also do sports cats- quite pricey though...
  20. go for the milltek- a friend has one of these on hid corrado which i drove on sunday- ive had 2 magnex exhaust now , and the milltek imo is deffo the best
  21. paid £1.06 for BP ultimate on the way home- saw us coming - bloody pikeys!
