guys, which model mk3's came with these as they appear to be very rare.

thanks for the info guys but i have realised that the new key set up is from a non coded car. anyway vw says they cant recode it as the car is too old. some locksmith that can do it quoted me £45 + vat. so ihave taped the key to the ignition barrel and it fits nicely under the plastic steering column cover.

it doesn't look as if you can split the key in half and retrieve/swap the transponder though?

guys, i recently posted a thread where i changed the ignition barrel and then the car wouldnt start. i have noticed that if i place my old key near the barrel and then start the car it will work. does anyone know how i can get the key recoded or what options do i have before i visit the local vw and get ripped off?

it was the metal plate at the back that made the noise - all sorted now - thanks for the help.

clips back on, driving easy and brakng easy - i thought that but the noise is loud and comes and goes. sounds more like metal rubbing something.

forgot to mention that the squeek goes away at times and then comes back again and its very loud.

hi guys, i've just fitted new ate power discs + pagid pads to my mk3 golf but it has decided to become mr friggin squeeky since changeover. any ideas what might cause this? thanks

as the title says really, can anyone tell me what no the relay is please - my electricain has told me its a no 10 but vw do not appear to have that. apparently its a 6 pin relay. any help appreciated.

Guys, need your help big time. My indicators/side lights are playing up. When using the indicators the indicator lights in the dash both flash at the same time and so do the rear side lights and front side lights and front indicator. When braking this happens again. It was embarrassing to drive the 45 minute journey to work this morning with this happening and more importantly dangerous. What the hell is going on? Can anyone please help. I have a golf mk3 tdi. guys, how do you remove the handles on the mk3? i undone the screw at the back but the handle deosn't budge, seems as if there's some hidden screws, any help appreciated.
