    Oh, mines completely knackered now! The screwdriver method doesnt even work, another £200 to get it sorted!Is it easier to just swap the whole thing over? Golf Tilt & slide sunroofs are a bit good ;-D

    I never bothered with the LED's I got M3/Crystal & im much happier it looks suttle but different and not tacky. Its amazing how many years a new set of lights can knock of your car! I dont want people to think that my car is a regular at the midnight McDonalds club :-)

    Make sure the Police dont catch you, incorrectly spaced number plates are illegal & will not pass an MOT. I hate the idiots who use black screws and incorrect spacing to make it look like something its not.

    I have just bought this( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7939079027&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT ) Its only a crappy thing but tbh I expected some kind of cool little computer! It has 3 probes (Brown,Blue,Green & Yellow) to plug into the ecu plug which is inside the car above the ashtray behind the blank switches, what terminals do I plug in which hole? It says it works on Passat VR6 and golf.

    Great, just picked it up, it was running lovely prior to the new clutch, now I have my main beam light on the dash permantly on but slightly dim I think a headlight bulb is out & its running on five cylinders! I am F*&@ing furious! Again I got to take it back! Whats he going to break this time???!!!

    I blew up two ECU's when I swapped my engine, it was wanted to start just no spark. Is it sparking? If not check the HT leads apart from that all signs point to blown ECU, sorry :-(

    Got my Bill today for £333.75 I am not very happy! 5 Hours labour at £190, Clutch £85, A clip for my fuel line £1, a switch for my reverse light £12 and the rest is VAT! Apparently the friction plate of my old clutch was fine but the pressure plate was knackered and there was not enough spring pressure due to my springs getting hot because of the slipping, says its not his fault as there is no way to check the pressure plate just seems a big coincedense to me. Now has a Sachs normal clutch & I cant pick it up until Friday as I only put by £200 to pay for it! He said there is no way you can

    It would make is easier to trap your passengers head in the window sounds like a good idea for nagging girlfriends! I think early MK3 golf didnt have one touch on the passenger side.Just a weird quirky VW thing I think.

    I use turtle wax wheel cleaner to get rid of the crap then good old fashonied duraglit or is it called silvo these days?Makes it nice & shiny :-D

    I have those ones!His are well faded though. You could have blue,black or leather seats in a VR when they first came out.

    He is a nice bloke but I dont think VR's are his expertise. He said the clutch was perfect & pretty new when he put it in so cant understand why is its slipping or needs replacing, he said he will look at it tommorow so pretty much admitted its his fault :-D

    Yeah, I used them once £1k for an engine swap (which I supplied & fitted) & took 3 months!!!

    It was fitted by a local "VW specialist" called Eastlake VW in Southampton, the box was fitted about a month ago. Hes looking at it again on Friday I hope he hasnt ruined my black diamond clutch its the sort of thing you can do without at christmas.

    I think my clutch has had it, it stank on the way home from work & its all revs and not much speed. It goes in & out off gear no problem at all, just takes a while to disengage only started happening since I spent £600 on fitting a new gearbox. I had a clutch go before on a different car & it was a bitch to get in to gear different to this. Anyone else had this problem? Does it need adjusting or a new clutch? Its only two years old. Anyone know a cheaper supplier than GSF or Euro? x) !ill &|

    I think its supposed to work after the engine turns off but usually stops after a few minuites once the engines cooled down its probably got a shitty tempreture sender. Its called an after run water pump by some people. It shoudnt drain any water though.

    This is how my K&N 57i induction kit is on my car at the moment but I think its not possibly the best set up. Apart from binning it and getting a BMC CDA, what is the best way to do it? It has a tube going to the bottom air vent of bumper for cold air. I was thinking about mounting it further down but doesnt it need all the air flow meter stuff? Was thinking about a rohr pipe but dont know if this will fit on the end also can you buy heat sheilds? Please help me I fear im loosing vital BHP!

    I found chipped UK fine to deal with.The chip has made a difference idle is better & its a bit more responsive. I reckon thats what the tyreman meant by increasing the fuel pressure, getting it mapped he said they have special computers there to do it but that can wait, a respray is more of a priority at the moment.

    Had mine put on today its a supersprint I bought off Andrew Chapple (VR6Vento) it seems to make the car a bit quicker definately a more throaty roar when you drive it hard. The bloke who fitted it said I should look at increasing the fuel pressure on my car due to all the engine mods (K&N 57i, Stainless steel sports exhaust, Viper 2 chip) I reckon hes talking bollocks but I dont know hardly anything about engines, should I take it to a tuners? What do you reckon my BHP is?
