As for VRs pulling harder when the torque curve is going downhill - can't say I've ever experienced that. my bad i thought the torque graph tailed off i was wrong lookin at my graph from rr day this is EXACTLY how the car always felt to me it pulls really strong 1-2k rpm a little flat 2-3k (its actually a small trough probably caused by lack of cat/back pressure) 3-4k it shoots up and gives a pretty flat slab of torque from 4-5.8k rpm at the lowest measured point it gave around 145 lb/ft (at 1100 rpm!!!) and peaked at 187 lb/ft suck on that vtec boys
  6. Note to self: win the lottery and buy a Schrick! :-) if i won the lottery id sod the schrick and buy a speed 12 mate !amazed !amazed 8)
  7. having read the threads on www.pumaracing.co.uk i THINK i MAY have a very basic understanding of bhp and torque torque is measured in lb/ft (usually) if ur tightning a nut with a spanner thats 1 foot long the nut is at 1 end and ur hand is at the other if it takes 5 pounds of pressure to move the nut that is 5 lb/ft if the spanner is 2 feet long and u need to exert 5 lbs pressure to tighten it further then ur usin 10 lb/ft 5(lb)x2(feet)=10 lb/ft this is the power the engine produces bhp is how many times a second/minute u can tighten the nut if u can turn the spanner once every 2 seconds an
  8. if they dont u could donate them to me lol yeh i think theyl look luuuuurvly on it
  9. how is torque worked out then? is the torque figure measured at the wheels

  19. its done by measurin the time it takes to wind down after the power run i think i got very similer numbers to u rich power at flywheel : 198.4 bhp power at wheels : 152.2 bhp power loss : 46.5 bhp (that 1 stings) torque : 187.2 lb ft min ambient temp : 15 deg c max ambient temp : 18 deg c barometric pressure : 1011 mb i got fantastic crank power (considerin the mods) but also got quite high transmision loss
