u could use the tried and tested plan c climb out the toilet window and leg it

it varies the length of the inlet it switches at around 4k rpm i think thus giving huge torque low down then when it switches it gives more oooomph high up vw were toying with the idea of fitting them when they designed the vr6 engine but decided not to becuz they cost to much

id have the new 4.2 v8 s4 over a scoob any day of the week much more of a sleeper for a start acf afaik uv had more probs than most of us put together i really do think u got 1 of the few bad uns m8 i absolutely love the vr my last car was an 8v cav sri which wasnt a nail and i looked after it and i had FAR more trouble with that i had to pay my mechanic pretty much every week [ Edited Wed Nov 03 2004, 06:42PM ]

i did have a play with a beemer i dont know what it was but it was deffo 4.5 litre convertable with 4 blokes in it possibly 845 i really dont know and tbh he didnt destroy me like i (and they lol) thought he would especially over 100 we only went to 120 ish a couple of times he deffinatly left me but didnt just vanish up the road i gave him somethin to think about and 1 of em gave a thumbs up but no chance in hell would i beat it under any circumstances and my car will DEFFINATELY NOT do 165 on the speedo i only got 149 with help from a huuuuuuge corvette

if u flashed a farrari ud never get along side never mind past lol about a week after i bought the golf (hadnt taken it over 5k yet) i was behid an amg merc dunno which he floored it all i saw was a puff of smoke the car point skywards and it shot and i do mean flew off up the road needless to say i didnt bother tryin to catch him lol

i got averege power at wheels but great flywheel bhp i do agree with vinces explanation but i also agree with pumaracing that corrected flywheel bhp will never be 100% accurate it may be that my engine put out 198 bhp then again it may not have il never know for SURE without usin an engine dyno but the power at wheels is actually measured power which assuming the rollers r calibrated (goin by everythin iv heard about vince they are) then the only garanteed accurate figure is the wheel figure beleive me id love to go from the flywheel figures not countin fi and r32 cars i was 3rd!!!! and the 2
