  1. It will be a different PCD on the disks (5x112 IIRC) for a start. Not sure about the calipers/carriers though.
  2. Moved to the bodywork and styling section. Is it the handle or door skin that they have damaged? Just that they usually go for the door skin as thats the weak point. If you need a new handle then your best bet is to get one from a scrappy and transfer your lock barrel across, maybe somebody else can confirm this?
  3. Nope, not yet, maybe in a couple of weeks time. You thinking of doing the same?
  4. Moved into the right section, was in the classifieds!
  5. Yeah for some reason the Bora's are a fair bit cheaper than the Golfs.
  6. Update Had the day off today so thought I'd give the Bora a good clean, clay and wax. Couldn't believe the amount of crap that came off when I clayed the whole car! Got rid of all the tar spots I had on it too. Also sorted out a few scratches that were bugging me too so I'm happier about the paint now. Anyway, here's some photos: A few photo's I took tonight because I was bored [] Let me know what you think guys.
  7. Had to resize your photos mate as it was screwing up the forum. As I said on swdubs I think these look spot on and really suit the colour of your VR.

    Tango'd VR6.

I really like that! Would be an ace track car :-)
  9. I was going to run staggered wheels on mine but after hearing loads of stories saying you shouldn't I'm not willing to take the risk on a daily driver. It 'should' be ok if the rolling radius is the same front and back but even tiny tolerances can have an effect over time apparently.
  10. Anybody know exactly what this update updates? BTW nice to chat to you today at Ultimate Dubs Pat.
  11. I didn't pay the price in the window either Not sure on the R32 exhaust, would mean a different bumper and its not an R32 so I'd like to keep it a bit subtle at the back. Boot and bumper scuff is being painted next week so the badges will be coming off of the boot for that, should be a nice clean ass by the end of it! On the trip home after picking it up (London to South West) I'm sure I got around 34mpg but I'm struggling with anything over 27/28mpg now! LOL
  12. What does that mean? Never been to Luton or Bradford so wouldn't know. Yeah understand your just stating your view, hence me stating my view about boring black/silver cars
  13. Cheers guy's, don't really like the Golf front look (Gora) so will be sticking with the Joey modded Bora lights and HID's, along with black grill. Hopefully pick a grill up at Ultimate Dubs. What colour black should I do the grill/mirrors though? Matt black or a gloss black? Metallic?
  14. Yeah definitely mate, only thing I'm not is the fuel consumption! LOL Need to sort out those boot struts asap if you can give me a bell when your free mate.
  15. That will be done with all the R32 interior trim and R32 steering wheel' date=' though the wood look isn't that bad. Cash, cash, cash though. If I win the lottery then watch this space.
  16. So which is the best colour? I think GOLD as you put it is actually a nice colour, better than boring black or silver!
  17. The look I'm going for (thanks to unitzero's (uk-mkivs) photoshop skills):
  18. I though it was about time I posted up about my new acquisition, so here goes. Me and a couple of friends (Claire and Dave) went on a road trip 2 weekends ago to look at a few cars and I ended up coming back home with this Bora: So the spec of it as I picked it up is: 51 plate 52k miles 17" long beaches Black heated leather recaros front and back Factory Sat Nav + Full FIS Climate Control List of things I want to do: Cruise Control 3 Blink Indicator convenience module (maybe) Xenon Headlights (may just go for HID's due to price!) R32 ARB's R32 suspension R32 interior trim and peddles R32 S
  19. Moved this thread to the members rides section. Nice 4mo mate, I must have one!
