  1. There is this thread from not so long ago about the plug removal tools available http://www.vr6golf.co.uk/forum_viewtopic.php?10.15498 As for your problem not too sure mate, you need to make up some sort of hook. It will need to be pretty strong. If you've already knackered the leads maybe a pair of long nose pliers?
  2. lol, I know, its held with duct tape at the mo, gonna get a new one tomorrow. Its not just the plate thats on the wonk, the actual lettering and surround is pissed as well!
  3. Ok here are a couple of pics of the monster truck, and after lowereing, better quality, but she was still abit dirty and the rear number plate ain't been sorted yet! Before After [ Edited ]
  4. This may be helpfull http://www.fasthatchbacks.com/search.php?searchtxt=golf+vr6&searchwhat=2
  5. Definately wouldn't go TPF&t, can't risk it, too much money involved. Limited milage, I dunno, I hate being limited, never had a pay as you go phone for that reason. Pretty happy ( :? ) with Adrian Flux, as I said I was expecting to pay a grand. Only got myself to blame for turning into an idiot when i got the XR3i and having a stupid needless accident. 6. I know mate, my worries pale into comparison eh
  7. Just had a couple of quote cos my insurance company won't insure me with the car lowered, (bastards) HIC said £1400, (blimey) and said I should speak to Adrian Flux. They said £1073, still alot but that does include mods, accidents and points. I was expecting it to be around the grand mark. Anywhere I should try. Not sure about the littler adds in the back of max power style mags, seem abit dodge, and probably wouldn't get the same benfits of Adrian Flux?
  8. You have small number plates over there don't you. Shame VW didn't have the forsight to adjust the bumber to suit. Nice collection of cars tho, are they all yours?
  9. I'm gonna be doing the same with my Fiesta RS1800 very soon, so this will be of no help to me at all, lol
  10. Well, I can't find it on ETKA, anyone else know?
  11. TBH mate, I thought the split at the rear was there so it could be put on without taking the ariel off, (thats what I was trying to get at, should have been less cryptic, lol) The split on mine at the rear is a cut, will check the ETKA, hold on.
  12. Thinking about it, aren't all the chains and cogs on this side of the engine?
  13. Tom, sorry for being dumb, but can't really tell what you are pointing out mate? Is there a strip missing down the side of the windscreen? Can't remember without looking at mine. [ Edited Sun Jun 27 2004, 08:20PM ]
  14. LMAO, my arms aren't long enough to measure the height of each side of the car whilst sitting in the drivers seat, lol
  15. I've set my coilovers to the same height on each side (at the front) but after the wheels are put back on and the car is back on the ground, the drivers side is about 10mm lower. What is there on this side of the engine which would make it do this?
  16. I tried to record my escort with my phone with me mate hanging out the window, but all you could hear was the wind, lol
  17. I know a way you could........no i'm not going to say it ;-)
  18. Cheers Chris, I would be looking for a full system, and also I can't really afford it at the moment :-( could only justify paying out for one if mine starts blowing! Maybe if I hack at it with a screwdriver..... Eat This, looks nice mate, does it have the scorpion logo on the ends cos all the pics on their web site don't seem to have them on, unless i'm blind, which is a distinct possibility, lol
  19. Well, I used the block of wood method today and it worked a treat, however Olly's point is valid. I did try and use the VW jack from the boot but it didn't look like it was gonna work too well so I didn't go much further with it. Also its a bitch to get out at the moment because i've put a disc changer in and not cut the carpet yet!
  20. Mina, you don't think most of us will be looking in our mirrors for you harein up behind us, lol
  21. Also, if its standard, I'd go for suspension before anything else every time, the car ain't fun to drive unless its been lowered and stiffened, imo :-) [ Edited Sun Jun 27 2004, 01:57PM ]
