    All I can say is shit!!!!!! You weren't joking when you said it had been sqaushed were you. One of the last pictures looks mid change, what time did you finish in the end? Must have been pretty late. Sounds like you've done ok out the insurance company though which is good news. I remember seeing those pics of the burnt out car port on the front of the gazette, didn't realsie it was yours.

    I ain't gonna be able to do this after all. :-( Car is not healthy due to ball joints and bushes, making horrid noises, so a trip to Santa Pod is out of the question

    Opps, sorry, that was me reading balancing as tracking, doh! Was the 45 quid camber and tracking? (full wheel alighnment)

    Was that Rainham in Kent, seems a long way to go, petrol would cost abit to get down there. Having said that, 45quid for camber, 30quid for balancing plus what 15quid petrol, just under a oner, still less than what I paid!!!!

    Had me 60K service done the other day and I need the N/S/F lower ball joint done, (knew it really cos i've got this horrible knocking noise all the time !dodge ) Would anyone say its worth getting both side done, to keep it even like? Also by doing that work are any other rubbers/bushes accesible which I should get uprated, ie powerflex ones? Are any rear bushes uprateable, cos they will be being done as well (not sure which ones they were mind, something to do with the rear axle I think, pretty much a standard thing on golfs apparently) Probably not very descriptive there but thanks if any

    Not by that small amount i'd say, if you are talking big drops like 20-30mm plus then it would be worth getting everything re checked i'd say. BTW Justin, have you had the camber set up on yours, if so where did you get it done? I had mine done at Airways, near MFI in Stanway, and although it was a good job with print out etc it was well expensive. Although if I take it back I would only have to pay for each adjustment and not all the set up charges.

    I considered a gti-6 before I got the RS and again before I got the vr, nice cars. In fact I may well have got one had it not been the car that wrote off the fezzy ~
