  1. cheers for that kev, a worry taken away from all the other probs i've had of late! pete spoke to vince as well to confirm my manifold has been fixed by schrick uk, just gotta get it fitted now! bring on the bling!
  2. yeah, big cheer for the effort vince has put in to this buy! even on the sick he still produces the goods, is that enough reason for everyone to take their car to him in future! i think so!
  3. well, i think given the probs with the vsr's so far, at the very least, schrick themselves should be covering the costs of any extra work thats necessary in fitting/removal of the manifolds in regard to them being incorrectly machined to start! i for one will not be willing to pay twice for polishing due to faulty work! i mean, who fits the manifold to see if it works then spends more having it removed immediately to be polished only to refit it again! why should we be footing the extra cost of incompetent workmanship with the cost of the manifolds to start with? what do you think guys?
  4. well, a couple have people have said i should have no worries really, as all the work is being done through stealth themselves. i haven't paid for the polishing yet, was gonna pay all in one go for the polishing/fitment/re-map when vince has my car in! reading all the stories of sticky b/flies though, it does raise some concerns, not least the fact after spending over 30k with schrick, that you would get a quality prouduct that works!
  5. i'm starting to get worried on this one now, as i haven't even seen mine yet(except some piccies sent to me by mike tongue) as vince took it to be fully polished b4 it gets fitted! how does this stand me if its faulty, will i be able to get an exchange one now, or is it an easier fix than that by the hand of god(vince)?
  6. really gutted for you mike! bit worried about mine now, as i've had it polished(as you know now) and wont be able to send it back to schrick should it be faulty surely! :-( hope all goes well for you mate and you get the motor back soon!

    Petrol prices

and they know they've got us by the balls too, because everyone needs petrol, and will continue to pay the price as public transport will never be the same as a car, and we all enjoy the freedom that it brings us! on with the revolution i say!
  8. hey andrew, i was just trying to see who would come back at me with the "not this thread again" comment! first prize goes to you, but it had to be done! stoopid french pieces of poo anyhow! on a lighter note, can you give me some advice/help/places where i can maybe do a track driving course, as thinking of putting together a track car for some fun weekends away?
  9. he didnt beat me away, just commenting on the fact they do go quite well from a standing start! but as you say, they are built from paper thin panels and are lightweight, so they should go well really!
  10. just raced a friends vts home from work, standing start away from traffic lights, me behind. fair play, it was quite quick away, but into second and that was it all over really! overtook him doing 90 and never looked back! well, apart from to see my other workmate overtake him to in his 206gti sp! and he was trying to, so no comments about "he must have lifted off" or "must have had summat stuck under the accelerator" ! anyone else come across one of these little pocket rockets since the last debate on the subject! !amazed
