  1. Any idea where can I get my alloys "blasted" and resprayed? I live near Maidstone. Thanks...

    Fun!!

I've had a Superchip, K&N kit and a Scorpion DTM exhaust fitted. Just thought I'd say that it' 'kin fun (as well as LOUD!!)
  3. As far as I'm aware the suspension is standard (it is an ex-Virgin company car). Tyres are both the same. I have only had the front tracking checked, not all four, so I will add that to the list of items to be looked at by the garage when being serviced. Jeez, mine tramlines now, especially under power, so it must be quite an interesting ride in yours!!! The chip is "Superchip", exhaust "Scorpion" twin DTM and the air will be a K&N filter set up with cold air feed from lower in the engine bay. I'm told about 20bhp increase overall; 10%-15% increase in torque with better throttle response,
  4. Tyre pressures are OK; tracking has been checked; brakes serviced etc. so why would do I still end up drifting to the left - it's not that bad, just bl**dy irritating. Oh, and I have taken the road camber into consideration and tried the same on flat roads. Thanks, Snash p.s. tomorrow I have chip, exhaust and air kit fitted. Can't wait!!
  5. What should the normal running temp for the oil be?? Thnx, Snash
  6. Binliner - Found any god places my side of the water for the top to toe service???
  7. Has anyone had a problem with water getting in?? I went through a car wash on Sunday which included the under chassis spray. I did not notice any water leaks at the time, but when I put the drivers seat forward to let one of the sprogs in, well, flippers and a snorkel would have been better than trainers.......... Any thoughts????
  8. Many thanks. Hopefully Binliner will see the posting and let me know of a VW specialist local to me. The tyres are correct for the rims. The BBS alloys do need blasting and re-coating, so Binliner, where do I go? Mileage is 49,000. The last service was done by the fleet company, so probably best that a full gynacologist job is done. There is a Ripspeed place near me. Are they worth speaking to??
  9. I bought an R reg Golf two-ish weeks ago as a pressie to myself for getting older(?!) Fun, fun, fun. My kids won't go in the missus' motor any more - then again it is an Astra, so who blames them!!! My eldest will start driving lessons later this year and is already asking if he can go on the insurance - like f@8k will he..... Right down to the questions. 1) I want to make sure that all is right, soooo, being to mechanics what Graham Norton is to chasing girlies, where is the best place to take the beastie for a thorough going over/tweaking?? Oh, I live in the Bexleyheath, Kent area. 2) Any w
