  1. Great day out and even better meeting a few more members! And really chuffed to win this! Really made all the hard work seem worth it! Feel quite proud that I've taken a rough old £340 VR that was being sold as a donor car and turned it into something that can win a trophy![emoji4] Now I need more power![emoji16]

  6. So here is Novembers feature car. This is a personal favourite of mine and a true inspiration. The attention to detail on this car is unreal. It's latest makeover is somewhat controversial with the diehard fans but here at the VR6OC, we love it for its brashness and how much Dougie dared to be different. You will see from the spec list below that it's not just a show car but has all the credentials for the speed check list. Here are some answers from the man himself. The person behind the car. 8. Hi guys, Here are some photos of Leo and his slow progress since coming off the road in September 2014! I hope you like!! Please see my instagram for more photos @emmacorradovr6 Here is Leo when I first brought him! One of the first things I did was completely strip and clean his interior. I then stripped his wheels to brighten him up abit! Then came Air I brought my air suspension from my friend off of his Corrado Then Leo was off the road His engine was then removed and then we found the gearbox problem! Very broken 3rd gear!! this

  12. Not been much to report lately. Got my oil feed and drain lines sorted. Had all my engine bits back from the powder coaters so I can start putting everything back together! Had my Brembo calipers done at the same time. I got a quote to have them refurbished by a well known caliper company and they quoted £250 to do the calipers. Extra if they had to replace seals etc.... I bought a new seal & bolt kit for £59 delivered. Came with lines, bleed nipples, Caps, bolts, seals & dust boots. The powder coaters charged me £20 a side to blast and coat them. Decals where £10 for 4 Hi

  14. Iv had an exciting week. It's back. Had a call from stealth last Friday to say it's ready. I rushed down and picked it up on the sat. When I got there Vince and John showed me around the car explaining what had been done.. The install looks great. As close to factory looking as you will get. You can tell a lot of time, effort and attention to detail has gone into the kit. The intercooler and pipe work are very stealthy. Vince started it up and the car settled into a perfect idle, the custom exhaust note suggests that there is something special about the car but isn't too loud or shouty.

  19. Good evening Guys, Well its been a while since we featured a members car so getting back into the swing of things this is going to be one of many. If you've taken a shine or special interest in a members car like we at VR6OC did with this one and think there car would be worthy of a feature then please drop me a private message. This members car was picked for the shear dedication, effort, time, money and I guess many many man hours that has gone into the build. The build has been followed by myself and probably many of you and I can say without question this car is goin

  28. Some of you will know me from on here and VR60c meets years ago, some of you won't (think my original VR6oc Number was 007!) Had a lot of people ask and PM me where this cars been of late, so thought I'd add this in here. After being off the road for 5 years due to a nut coming loose from the Shrick divertor valve and going through the engine, totally destroying my low mileage mint engine I lost interest in the money pit and had other projects on the go, so the car sat in the garage for 5 years generally being in the way! So after a full Low Comp engine rebuild, Stage 2 Vortech, (The Z-Enginee

  29. Bolted a Rotrex supercharger to it! [emoji16] It's a long story which involves me getting very annoyed with the VF charger leaking oil after waiting 2 months for a belt, fellow member D11PS being a good salesman (well telling me the rotrex sounds like a low flying fighter jet[emoji15]) and then going over to pick up the new charger last night with Bealieboy and coming back with the charger and a hangover for Saturday morning! It's ok Dips was buying, he was feeling flush after I'd just paid the erm.....£200 for the rotrex! Nice pub by the way Dips! [emoji106]

  31. Hi guys, I'm bluemotions other half (and mechanic!) and while I haven't been on this forum or owned a vr for a long time. I've been in the vw scene for about 16 years. Over the last few years I've seen it get over populated by dumb kids who think dangerous mods to their car is fine because it looks 'dope', or elitist cliques who won't give you the time of day if you've spent less than 15k on your motor. I was a little apprehensive about coming along as I didn't really know anyone who was going. I can't tell you how pleasing it was to go to a meet where you can walk up to anyone and start up

  34. Welcome to the first of this years "car of the month". This one goes to Richie Caldwell or richierich37 as he's known on the forum. I'm sure some of you would have already seen the build thread on Richies car, and if you have you'll be able to appreciate the time, effort, patience and not mention money he's ploughed into building a simplistic but truly one off mulberry highline! From the seats and interior, right down to the sump, no stone has been left unturned, and Richie himself admits one of his most favoured features is in fact the painted sump!! I told him he was wrong and it is actually

  37. It is absolutely brilliant! Still using any excuse just to go out and drive the thing some blurb and pics: For the benefit of some who asked about the stealth turbo: Firtly, I must say the level of service is top notch and I can't recommend the stealth guys enough. Vince and co spent a long time explaining everything that had been done, the reasons why and how to maintain the vehicle, recommending the best plugs, oil, etc. it was obvious that a hell of a lot of work had gone in to the car, and IMO it represented excellent value for money if you're seriously considering turbo but don't feel

  39. Hi I have not been on here for years. I have also not drove my Vr6 for over six months since I bought a new car(2008 R32). I Bought the VR6 on Feb 2006 with 55000 miles on the clock. It now has 130000 miles with 24000 done last year alone:-( I would not call it a car it is more it is more a part of me or an only child of mine. No mater what is going on the car has never let me down in 8 years, never broke down in 8 years. I can leave It parked up for months at a time jump the battery and of she goes. it still has the original clutch, timing chain etc. The interior has held well too.
