  5. Picked her up this morning Felt awesome driving it again, and could feel how better it felt with the new steering rack! I have to keep it below 3,500 RPM for the first 500 miles and then perform an oil / filter change, then i can take it to 3,600 up until 1,100 miles and then increase 100RPM for every 100 miles completed.... upshot is I need to cover 2.5k 125 miles down so far! looooong way to go.... Naturally the firt thing I did when I got home was to give the old girl a jolly good wash and took it for another drive, there is some power waiting to be unleashed, I can tell you that mu

Ah didn't know you could use standard 2.9 pistons in it. Thanks for the info about the torque plate never heard of it before. Was wondering about fancy pistons, but no point with a sc setup, so would really mean going turbo on her, which is a bit much for a daily car. Think I will try and keep her fairly standard, might get away with a hone and new piston rings, if not it looks like finding some decent 2.9 pistons and an overbore. Do you know how much I have to get it bored to?

  12. Can't wait to give it a drive! Its going to a place on a local industrial estate near my work. Nice clear quiet roads, be good to open it up a little, missed that VR sound, even though the standard exhaust and cat on there is doing it no favours. I bought it off of someone in Northamptonshire, before that it had been in Essex I believe and the previous owner Im not sure! It changed hands about 4 times in under a year before I got it. The conversion could well have been done down Devon way but I had a feeling it was up north. I know of a couple more VR6 Polo Saloons that were kicking about a

That green one is something else, I think the idea for this mod came about after a week long bender of class A's mixed with alcohol. I can only imagine the amount of pondering that must have taken place, among which must have been the question, "shall I fuck it up or shall I really fuck it up?! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
