Engine speed sensor? Mass air flow sensor (short to ground)?

Vag-com got this fault code "00513 Engine speed sensor (G 28)". Where is this sensor? Second fault code is "00553 Mass air flow sensor (G 70)short to ground". I have new MAF but fault code is still. What is wrong?

This faults comes after that I fitted AMS supercharger kit.

i had the same problem with the Engine speed sensor

i've got a new one now ,the part number is

191-919-149-D

its on the gearbox, mine its LHD so i dont know

if its at the same possition with the RHD

i will take o pic tomorow

and i will post it!

engine speed sensor is normally the crank sensor, on the front of the block under the oil filter : -

it's held in with a 5mm allen key ..plugs in njust above the starter motor...

if not the only other sensor is the cam sensor which is on the end of the head under the end plug lead holder ....

You say you have new maf...is it fitted....???

Could be bad connection or supply to maf or possible lambda probe...

do you 100% need to run with the MAF sensor?!?

The crank sensor/engine speed sensor needs to be checked when the engine is running otherwise you will get a false reading, as when the engine is switched off this will always show as a fault.

try cleaning the earths under the battery. i had reoccurring fault codes with 02 senser and maf. touch wood cleaning these earths cured it.
