cold air intake

got a k&n on my vr that takes its air from the engine bay. is it a good idea to run a cold air supply to the filter, if so wheres the best place to fit it(dont fancy it hitting the belts or pulleys).

You can put it a few places. It can be routed down to the grill at the bottom of the bumper but you will need to the horn. I was initially going to do that but found that the flexi tube fitted to the side of the rad where there was a gap for the air to pass. I guess pictures speak louder than words(although you'll need to look closely to ssee the black tube in the dark engine bay):

In the second pic, you can just see the shiny insides of the flexi tube to the left of the rad. The grill to the left of the tube does actually have holes in it to allow the noise from the horn to escape. You could re-locate the horn and fit the tube there.

it's tricky if you have AIR CON though u have to remove the carbon canister just get a BMC CDA! the dogs nads

The pictures shown show plenty of space. When there's a supercharger in there space is limited so looking for a solution.

If you take out the carbon canister you can get a feed up to it... as pete said though if you have air con it makes it harder cos the bottle is in the way and theres a pipe where phil has his

I fit mine through where the old airbox used to sit. As u look at the engine bay, so you have the induction on the left you should see a gap where the airbox went under the wing. If you put the pipe through there and down towards the front grill just under the fog lights it should go in without n e probs.
