djbigpete 0
Ive just had a couple of bits of rust sorted out on my vr which involved a small amount of painting. Having had the car back for about a week and a half, i polished it and the polishing cloth went a bit red (the cars flash red) when i polished over the new paint. is this normal for new paint? SankysVR6 1
What polish did you use.It might be just bit overspray that might have been left on the car. Try running your hand over the car when its clean to feel the surface it should be smooth every where.
gav_113 0
what was the car painted in? if it has been painted in solid 2K or Cellulose then this is normal. 2K or Waterbased basecoat and clear shouldnt do this though!
djbigpete 0
I'm not sure what paint was used. i'll ask the guy that did it tomorrow. It's a really good job he's done and the paint is smooth and has come up really nice with a polish and wax so i'm sure its ok. I was just a bit surprised to see paint on the cloth whilst polishing as i've only seen that while using T-cut.
gav_113 0
if the paint work is smooth and shiny i would of thought that it is fine!
SankysVR6 1
Most likley be overspray that was left on the pannels. See what next time you polish
