GMAX suspension kit - any good?

Hi

I've read a lot of good and occasional not so good things about the GMAX suspension kit but it is low cost. It's been recommended by The Phirm and apparently gives a drop of 40mm. Does anyone have this kit... how does your car feel?

It has a 3 year warranty so I may think about having this fitted to my car early next year.

Obviously it won't be as good as the top brands but then I am saving nearly

in my experience of golfs over 15 years pay the extra and get the koni adjustable kit readily in golf mags at 320 quid superb value , had on my vr for three years now , changed top mounts on mine last week and front shocks feel the same as the day i put them on.

nothin wrong with the gmax kit though bud, i bought a kit for my first VR, and if your on a budget you cant go wrong :-)

I've got gmax on mine. Can't moan, feels just nice, stiff, but not too stiff. But i could do with it being 20 - 30mm lower though.

Got G-max kit on my Mk2 GTI, and I've been more than impressed with its performance!

Got gmax kit on yesterday and I am well pleased so far (early days I know). Took a spin to glasgow at about 200 miles round trip and all well. Ride is firmer but not harsh, cornering feels tons better and the "floaty" feel at motorway speeds is gone. A big improvement for not much buck.

Car looks better even though its only a little lower.

Will post pics next time i wash the dirt off.

Mine's running GMAX springs with Koni dampers. It's not the lowest setup in the world, but it goes round corners like it's on rails!
