Definately illegal. Don't get stopped driving like that, they'll impound the car as it is a danger to the public.

Won't pass an MOT either.

I assume you've just fitted them to show and are going to sort the arches to suit?

Regulation wise, the top of the arch must stick out enough to cover the furthest protruding part of the wheel (to take camber into account). It has to over hang by a small amount and must cover it for a certain radius - e.g. minimum 30 degrees or something, can't remember.

They do look awesome though. !lol

Actually I guess it's been a long time since I had to read the regulations. '92-'95 I think it was when I had my big wheels on my mini cooper S. I remember having to go with a slightly stretched group 5 arch.

Best to check in case things have changed since my last experience in this area. :D
