Jase 0 Posted September 10, 2017 Report Share Posted September 10, 2017 Hi guys, I'm new to the vr6 and if got one in a mk1 golf...the engine ran about a year ago and has been in dry storage for about 5 years, iv tried to start it and it sounded like there was no/Not enough spark to fully fire the engine. So iv put a new starter and spark plugs on and it's improved it a little but still not starting the engine, iv just ordered a new coil pack and leads because I'm sure it's down to them but my question to you guys is, is there anything else it could be if the new coil pack and leads don't work? Iv had someone tell my that the MAF sensor controls or has something to do with the spark and another person say that the engine is coded? I'm open to any suggestions and any knowledge you guys have, I'm in no rush with this as it is a project but I would like to here the engine run before I pull in out of the car thanks guys Link to post Share on other sites
