ceasermk4vr6 0 Posted July 12, 2016 Report Share Posted July 12, 2016 i am currently working on my mk4 golf vr6 as a project car. i would like to add more hores power, maybe in the 300 to 400 hp for now. what mods can i do to my car? i know the CAI and 268 cams and exhaust will get me home hp but i also heard that replacing my head gaskets and puting in a spacer will also give me hp but i can find some who sell these spacers. Parts - Garrett and Borg-Warner EFR are probably the best ones, Holset are good cheap alternatives preferred by most, Turbonetics and Precision popular state-side too plus cheap Chinese and some good Japanese ones on ebay! Main problem will be the tune, mk4 12v's were not offered here from the factory, US market's and use ME7.1 ecu so rare to find FI tunes for them although they're not massively different, some good DIY threads on Motronic tuning forums in US on these files; thread with ecu details for DIY Tunerpro tuning; http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=4620.0title= Link to post Share on other sites
