Immaculate Mk2 Vr6 For sale

So possibly may regret this (I normally do) but have thought long and hard about it and decided to sell the mk2 due to just having put a deposit down on the new Focus RS, plus with 2 youngsters I never get any time to enjoy it so would rather have something nice I can use every day. Below is the spec of the car, this has been stripped to a bare shell and built up over 3 years with no expense or effort spared. If you are building or planning to build one of these to do it right is not cheap, anyone who has seen the car can vouch for how clean it is, anyway here goes!

 

Body

1990 G plate 8V Gti 90 spec big bumper model originally flat black but resprayed in LA9V metallic which was a run out colour on the Mk2 and was used on the Corrado I believe. Respray was £3K and done in December 2013 and car is still immaculate.

All of the below is less than 2 years old

New G60 Arches all round from VW heritage

New front bumper from VW heritage

New rear bumper from VW heritage

New Headlights  

New 16V taillights

New clear indicators

New windscreen

New Bosch Wiper blades & powder coated wiper arms

VR6 Side & rear badges from trim sport

New GTI badges front and rear

Rear wiper removed and smoothed

Rear plinth smoothed (popper for boot in car)

Original sill covers, door trims, splitter, grill and spoiler

Replacement wings, aerial hole smoothed over.

Bee sting aerial fitted

New door handles

Chrome door catches

Electric Mirrors

Electric Sunroof

Electric Windows

Black Hella pyramid side repeaters

All other windows standard GTI green tint

Powder-coated slam panel

Rear arches pulled and g60 arch trimmed  / front wing cut away and G60 arch trimmed to allow maximum width of wheels possible

Full Mk3 Vr6 running gear 5x100 Widetrack from P reg VR6

Full Avo coilover kit

Suspension set up by Reid motorsport

Fully polybushed

Front Eibach anti roll bar

Standard Vr6 rear anti roll bar

New ball joints, drop links, track rod ends

Vr6 288mm front brakes

Refurbished front callipers

Brand new Mintex front discs

Brand new red stuff front pads

Standard Vr6 discs and pads on rear

Corrado VR6 pedal box & master cylinder / servo

Mk4 GTi gear shifter and tower (totally changes the feel of the car)

Golf Vr6 radiator with Vr6 fans and controller

New alternator

Vr6 engine has done 133K with chains and guides done less than 1000 miles ago

Autobahn 88 Blue silicon hoses

Oil catch / breather system

Baffled sump

Cooling system flushed and topped with G13 coolant

Goodridge braided hoses all round

ECU located behind dash with functioning OBD2 diagnostic port

BBS RS 5x100 3 piece 15” alloys refurbished centres in gold with 1” lips on front and 1.5” on rear giving 7” fronts and 7.5” rears all of which are spaced out

Toyo T1S 195/45/15 tyres all round, nice looking stretch without being OTT                                                                          

 

Interior/Audio

Mk3 GTi edition seats from a left hand drive car, all are immaculate!                       

Powerwashed carpets

Good headlining

Fully functioning mk2 dash with 160 MPH speedo                                                            

Alpine pop out touchscreen heat unit with sat nav, ipod connection & Dvd player

Infinity Sub-woofer with Amp, stealth shelf with 6x9 speakers, mid-range hidden in original door pockets with tweeters in dash (through cross overs). All speakers through Amps.

Original sound deadening removed and replaced all over car with Fatmat Pro

Audi VDO gauges mounted in centre console (fully functional)  

Genuine VW rubber floor mats

 

Security / Key

Clifford concept 50x alarm with remote central locking (2 x fobs)              

2 different locking wheel nuts used

Kill switch

 

Been on the road for 2 years and has covered 4K miles since the build. Comes with 3 keys one of which is the pill type with Vr6 badge. Mot till March 2016, the car has not had 1 advisory since being built. Loads of spare parts which will come with the car for the asking price which is £6.5k which I know is strong money for a mk2 but its cost over £11K to get it where it is today. The car draws attention wherever it goes, ideal for shows but I’ve never been into that. With the VR6 running gear and mk4 shifter it really does feel like a modern car with the benefits of old school looks! Any questions drop me a PM.

 

Also available separately is a kit of turbo parts that I had planned to fit this winter, these can be worked into the deal for the right price.
