dom.joy 87
Hi I want to get a second engine to rebuild. Car is currently OBD2, a mate has an OBD1 coilpack engine that would be cheap. What would be the main differences from the one in my car?Could i just swap inlet and TB over to the OBD1 block or is there more to it?Are the chains different between 1 and 2? Thanks

Reaperx 181
I'm pretty sure the chains are different but you should be able to swap the engine over and use your bits on it. Sure someone will comment who has done it. Ask vr6pete he converted his corrado form obd1 to 2 so would know the answer.
dom.joy 87
If it's just the chains I can live with that

dom.joy 87
I'm pretty sure this is a coil pack Obd1 engine. Not sure what it's from
daveyboy 897
If it's a coil pack engine the chains should be the only difference. I put a 2.9 dizzy engine in my odb2 all I done was change the upper chain cover to use my coil pack and one of the cam chain wheels
