c00k 435
Happy days, So your running on a 24v ECU now? With VVT?
Mk3highline 287
Nope standard 12v vr6 ecu that came with car with a new semi mapped chip to understand the signal from the later type cam sensor and cam phase wheel mate no VVT science
Mk3highline 287
Well the difference is phenomenal now it's got closed loop and it's not over fueling it's socks off plus the little extra timing would of helped But compared to the standard ignition timing on a 4mo ecu it's pretty mild , so will be safe enough for when the charger goes onNext mission science

science 7
Very nice! How does it work?Do you need to tap holes in the plate for the 6 branch or do the holes line up?
Mk3highline 287
Plan was to cut the old flange off and weld on the new one But getting 2 of the ports (cylinder2 and5) line up might be a bit tricky
Mk3highline 287
No update as not had the car And the summed holidays run me dryBut just mixed/ made some 103 octane fuel and it's done this to the paint on the Jerry canBest not spill any lolOn the zafira the turbo spooled up lot sooner and quicker (less lag) and it didn't pull any timing on over boost so was a little quicker I'm not expecting any gains on the golf but seeing if it will burn/melt through any of the fuel lines or kill the pumpPoured it in this morning so see what it does this afternoon
Mk3highline 287
No leaks so far and car is even more responsive and no leaksJust done some more with a 3% mix and it's still makes a little difference and mpg is betterMiles better than the methanol just difficult to get hold ofAlso checked front tyres to see how the -2 camber is treating them andHad to get some more tyres and need to get the bushes and toe sorted
