Roots 4 Posted September 30, 2014 Report Share Posted September 30, 2014 so the noise is well and truly under my skin after having a Corrado VR6 last year, i sold my fabia and sorted out some funds, and found this car amongst the many websites I was looking through. It has an excellent spec, Mulberry highline, Stainless exhaust, everything works, it's a very late S-reg, and most importantly, the bodywork is excellent for it's age (especially a mk3), only some light rust on the inside of the arches. engine is also practically new, with all this work at 100k, and i've just taken it through 108k - Timing chain, tensioner & guides changed- Water pump- Thermostat- Head skimmed & rebuilt with new stem seals and valves reseated- Head gasket and head bolts Picked her up on saturday after a little adventure to leeds got the car home, and a snagging session has brought up a few things, aswell as a big surprise saw in the advert it had a "brembo conversion" but wasnt expecting these on it porsche boxter brembos, and they're awesome!! cleaned and polished it, sorted out a momo team 280 as i've always loved them: also had a decat fitted today aswell as a new sump and a service as the current sump was leaking around the sump plug and it had been poorly tiger sealed: a few other bits to sort out from todays little session and it's booked in at Autobarn in basingstoke for the 11th new radiator needed as it's leaking water at high revscouple of exhaust rubbers needednew back boxnew batteryrear pads and discs new plugs and leads and that's it for now, plan to sort out the stereo alongside the other bits, but long term plan is to supercharge it , next march at bonus time hopefully CheersChris Bealieboy, D11PS and daveyboy 3 Link to post Share on other sites
