Latest update she's back on the road. WOOHOO!!

Just thought I would share a pic of my brakes being fitted...

I'll just leave this here

Have you sold the 8v yet, I'm strangely attracted to those wheels?!!

Not put it up for sale yet mate. Will be doing that in a couple of weeks. If I don't get the money I want for the car I will be selling the wheels separately. So if you would be interested let me know.

I've got one of those 8" boxes too, I might use it one day I suppose!

Haha nice. I suppose a bit of bass is better than none. I've seen a nice 8" Alpine sub which I'll be ordering very soon.

Can you read my last post it's just blank for me!? I drilled a hole in it then ran a long bolt through it (behind the speaker) into a rivnut I put in the inner rear quarter panel, basically it was a ball ache! That's why I asked I'm good by the way, thanks mate!

Last post I can see from you is the one where you said about testing out your Rockford. I'm glad my one isn't bolted in. Need to take it out soon to get at the indicator bulbs to paint them green as I've got red flashing indicators at the moment because of my all red rears.

Quick pic of how she's looking at the moment. Pic taken in Worthersee, Austria last week.

Decided to go back to a standard front bumper, swage line smoothed and had the slats at the bottom taken out otherwise they were hitting against the intercooler. Smoked fog lights put in and the insides of the headlights were tinted by me at home. Genuine phase 1 vento grill put on as I was getting tired of having to pop the aftermarket grill back in after every drive because of the poor fitment. Bootlid has been smoothed also. Now sitting on Merc 17" wheels which I managed to find after 6 months of looking. Easily available in 16" but 17" are quite hard to come by. Had the outer edges diamond cut from a local place and the middle kept silver. Air ride running perfectly but will be getting the arches cut out soon so can sit lower.

Been a while since I was last on here. I had lost motivation on working on the car. Basically wrecked 3rd gear on the way down to Worthersee earlier on in the year. Fortunately made it back home and the car has been parked up untouched ever since. Saturday night I was watching some vids on YouTube and I thought about how much I miss the car so woke up Sunday morning got some tools together and headed over to my mums house where the car has been left all this time. The plan is to get the engine and gearbox out. Strip down the engine and replace any bits that need to be replaced and get the gearbox sent off to a specialist to get sorted. I managed to get a set of Wossner pistons a couple of months ago so once the engine is back in I can turn up the boost a bit.

I'm fitting a standard engine back into the car and then sadly selling it. Got future plans for the engine going into a 4motionemoji7.png

After all that work! I suppose a 4motion would be much more fun.
