VR6CABBS 1,311
Looking for some info on removing my passenger airbag. Firstly I want to fit a high level glovebox like in the gti. I guess this will be a direct fit but I was wondering if I remove the passenger airbag will all the others still work. Secondly who will be able to re program it so it doesn't reckonise the fault and leave the airbag light on. Any info will be appreciated. ThanksCarl
Lukey. 381
Remove it with the battery off and put a 3 ohm resistor in the yellow plug, done just this and it's fine.

VR6CABBS 1,311
3.3 should do, I got them just from maplin. The ones on ebay are fused ones mate with wires coming from them. Is there any pacific way you plug them in?Don't want an explosion in my car when I turn the ignition on. Haha.
Lukey. 381
That won't happen with a 3.3ohm resistor, they won't even get a slight bit warm, just make sure the resistor legs are stuck right in the plug Edited May 19, 2014 by Lukey.

Daverse 175
Oh amd resistors arent polarised, plug them whichever way you want Although the tolerance band is usually pointed to the ground for ease of reading the valueSent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk Edited May 19, 2014 by Daverse VR6CABBS
