Reaperx 181
Ok so hopefully after weeks of fixing other people's cars. tomorrow I finally have a few hours to work on the golf. First job on my list is dash out and replace the heater matrix. Apart from the usual screws etc.. Is there anything I should look out for.
psilosimon 8
I did mine over a weekend, Ballache but do-able, remembering exactly where all the wires that are bundled up in white foam go, The two security nuts under the steering column can be fun.lots of twisting and turning and crouching - expect neckache and backache. May need to get airbag light reset afterwards, a local vw garage did mine for nowt.
Reaperx 181
Cheers will make sure to remember where everything goes. Not looking forward to the bending crouching part. I can use my works computer for airbag reset. It's just the first time I have took a dash out so should be fun.
Lukey. 381
Careful with the heater cowling where it fastens at the bottom it can snap easily, you don't have to take the dash bar out or necessarily even remove the 2 sheer bolts on the column I got mine done with both in place just moving the bar around. It's not that bad and is certainly an easy job it just takes so long.
Reaperx 181
Thanks will be careful not to break it. Just sat gathering dust I need it to be done so I can get it off to bodyshop and get the new wheels on.
