MrMK2-VR6 2 Posted January 24, 2014 Report Share Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) Hi everyone, I have a H reg mk2 with OBD2 VR in it only it's running rough and I wanna get it plugged into VAGCOM only I can't find the port or even the ecu? VR6Pete 1,455 Posted January 24, 2014 Report Share Posted January 24, 2014 ECU should be hard to find! I'd expect this be in scuttle panel area? Obd port on the other hand is another story! You'd need trace wires from ECU to see if it was plumbed in during the conversion. Where have you looked for the ECU? Club Chairman Link to post Share on other sites
PeteVRT 22 Posted January 25, 2014 Report Share Posted January 25, 2014 Like Pete says E.C.U. could be anywhere, a lot of people do the conversion different, I've seen under the scuttle or even behind the dash on the passenger side, the diag plug could be anywhere? MrMK2-VR6 2 Posted January 25, 2014 Author Report Share Posted January 25, 2014 have looked in the skuttle and all up behind the glove box but no luck, ive no idea who did the conversion but am going to search through history for any sign of the conversion being done at a garage rather than on someones drive, is it possible to trace the loom from behind the coil to find the ecu? Sorry if im confusing anyone, this is my first vw so im a bit lost, i was a vauxhall man but was converted recently anybody know of a decent vw mechanic in my area that would be worth using?
