It's alive! https://vimeo.com/127356810 Another box ticked on my bucket list.......own a supercharged car! Love that noise!

Got a few more bits done this week, not as much as I would have liked as works been busy and I've been waiting on bits including the longer belt for the charger that's coming from America and is silly

Finally had some time recently to get a start on fitting the air ride onto the car, I managed to get a hardly used Airlift V2 digital set up with twin compressors at reasonable price, Started with s

Nice wheels man,

Let me know how you get on with the 185's,

I have same tyres on my summer wheels,

And find I can make them brake traction quite easily.

Yeah I've got no doubt it wont be the most tractable car! I'm well trained in wrestling fwd cars with no grip though after owning a 300odd bhp Astra before this!

You fitting them on a Golf? I reckon they'd suit a Corrado very nicely!

Hi fella..

They will be on a golf (not a corrado fan).. i have plenty of sets of wheels and not enough cars.. So when they actually make it on may be a different story.. never even realised the old players MK3 was running them..

Yours do look very good with them on..

Went to Players show on Sunday as it's literally 10 minutes down the road from me, (well then an hour of traffic around the airfield as its was so ridiculously busy) . I went back to my Compomotive TH monos for it as I like the whole Motorsport(ish) look they give the car; c2c7a9a4543f818997168c52330288a2.jpg

As it was only down the road I thought I'd see how low I could get the car on the coilovers, this was how low!;2355141a2b81e2161adf86b4bccb3b95.jpg642e6a0c37d57443b556f2759cae462f.jpg

Then a few very kind people sent me some shots of the car from the day; e77c9041c4db20aee847d81923afa551.jpgb24f5020c8a6d672bbc32746e451577e.jpg3ad08957c2a03c4e77ccb706468a9e62.jpg

Players is a great show by the way if you can make it one year with a amazing mix of cars highly recommended

After a few small set backs like relocating the maf, a few shows and the arrival of this little one; 02dedf8afb5dfddbcb31cba6df248145.jpg Say hello to Lennie, I'll have I'm in a lowered little tykes car soon....in red of course! Anyway I managed to get a day booked off work and a mapping session booked at Stealth, the car runs the Ecu from the black Vf charged car so it was half way there! It drove ok but had a big flat spot around 3.5k, after speaking to Vince he assured me he could map it and get it running right. I was expecting 270-280bhp and nearly fell over half way through when Vince told me it'd be probably make 300+, well chuffed! It ended up at 307bhp and drove back brilliantly in between traffic and artics not letting each other over take so I did 56-57mph all the way across the A14!! F+#%ing lorry drivers!

Here's a few pics;

Yes the maf before the charger and is now behind the bumper on the left side of the car, due to turbulence caused by the charger.

Glad you confirmed that for me I put mine before also because I couldn't see it working otherwise are you running the standard vr6 maf ? Edited by ky_uk

Just a little update, as this being a Dad stuff seems to take a fair bit of time up! I'm planning to change the clutch soon, so got the gearbox I've had sitting around for ages which is fitted with a Quaiffe diff cleaned and painted up and fitted with new driveshaft and end cap seals. 3751b369dcf4df3d6d0241b464dd650a.jpgWhile I was at it I smoothed a few casting marks out as well, this was the etch primer, abb95c160b9eda3f303e10545f39a484.jpg All done and back together; 314aa6fb7309262e0b27fee40bfb9eaa.jpg

I've also reinforced a spare clutch fork I had laying about, so now I just need to get a clutch and fit it.

Wasn't to hard just a bit of elbow grease, a small dye grinder, a can of etch primer, a can of gloss black and finally a can of wheel silver, I restrained myself from going too mad and 2 pack priming it to smooth it and then base and laquering it, just wanted it to look clean and new.
