It's alive! https://vimeo.com/127356810 Another box ticked on my bucket list.......own a supercharged car! Love that noise!

Got a few more bits done this week, not as much as I would have liked as works been busy and I've been waiting on bits including the longer belt for the charger that's coming from America and is silly

Finally had some time recently to get a start on fitting the air ride onto the car, I managed to get a hardly used Airlift V2 digital set up with twin compressors at reasonable price, Started with s

Fair play mate,

Loads of effor gone in lately!

I'll be honest with you not my cuppa tea on the oil cooler location, but each to there own, and fair play for being different.

Took mine for test drive on sat,

Boosted VR's are the way forward!!

Roughly what PSI are you ruining atm dude?

It should be running around 8psi, though according to the boost gauge it's more like 9, will be at least getting a power run done in the next couple of weeks and then another map if it needs it, I'm not one for just throwing something like a supercharger on and hoping! I need to move the AFM away from the charger though as the turbulence the charger causes is confusing the AFM big time!

The cooler may not stay there, as with almost everything on this car (apart from rolled rear arches) it's completely reversible just leaving a couple of small holes on the underside of the bumper, I've got max power mags that date back to '94 so I can spot a fad a mile off! so I try not to do anything irreversible especially if I think it will go out of fashion ( think tiger stripes, bodykits and 18" wheels on novas!) So I still have the original bumpers, tailgate, suspension, wheels, manifolds etc etc. So if Mk3 VR's start to go up in value, I could strip off all the good bits, sell them and be left with a nice clean original looking car to sell. Or that's the plan!

Just a little tidy up of the charger pipes today along with a forge recirc valve I had, before;b1cf4859c1fcf1d3d3dfc747cf7a13c4.jpg

After;5818bc719f1c5081c3874ecb8e7e57ce.jpg

And put on the corrado gearbox brace after putting a bit of paint on it;db0580acc68c4e4fcd55b7b07a2b8a7c.jpg

Also painted the top half of the header tank textured black ( a bit like some Mercedes ones), because I was fed up with looking at the yellow stained one! 25114be8a85e0236fda574fdf69ae48f.jpg

Thanks mate! Was a dream for a very long time ( as in max power and fast car magazines at the back of the class at school ) to own a supercharged VR6, a few people have asked why I've not gone down the turbo route, it's because that wasn't the boyhood dream!

Seats have cleaned up well; before with 20 odd years worth of erm.... actually I don't even want to think about that!6f20bbc911ab0fd47dcd39aa201b80ff.jpg522f3715eb4bb6c663c94d75e21a4086.jpg

Then after a good squirt of tfr and interior shampoo a scrub, then a jetwash and finally a wet vax! They look like this; ea543f5c89feabe1e9cbfebbd03b6ada.jpgd80e8e6bf1a2e2d5298629f4374d4c39.jpg

Time to try to make this thing run right and relocate my maf away from the Rotrex. I'm determined to keep my air con so had no choice but to run a pipe right under the front of the car so I can fit the filter and maf in front of the n/s wheel behind the bumper. Bought some 80mm pipe work ffda3eba27d8097babb8f375e9eef267.jpg

Extended the loom for the maf 9517df2183e276c642b83aec594f3364.jpg

Had to trim a bit off the front panel but amazingly I think I might just get away with it! c86e7840dc26e1a92d5c737ef39eab5a.jpg5d263d803dfef07b16e31c762399a6cd.jpg67936058698dafd495e9e2ede13ab07f.jpg

Just need some major cable ties or a couple of big mikalor clamps to hold it up, and I'll make some sort of bracket up to support the maf and air filter and hopefully I'll be all good to go! Hopefully I say!

I'm up and running again, with a plugged in maf! Managed to attach the pipe across the front: a5ca9f4bf0b30658fee98d719099cdb5.jpg

Speed bumps are a definite no no now though!!

Then took her out for a little run and after a couple of splutters at about 3500rpm it seemed to clear and run well! 4d99f0c56656612f31118c1b4619a767.jpg

Just a final bit of tinkering and perfecting it now making sure nothing is rubbing etc and I'm ready for the trip up North next week
