Another week over and big stew has been cracking on with the project, most parts are painted and the build up starts soon! In the mean time he has stripped off all the beam, wishbones etc so they can all be powder coated to match the wheels. Some new photos just in......

Whilst the beam etc is removed, the full inner arches will get prepped and painted Mullbery to clean them up!

I'm collecting all the parts on Tuesday to take to custom coatings so will update again then!

I'd like to thank big Stew at this stage for all the hard work And effort he's putting in making the car a very clean example that will make a superb family hatchback! :-)

Gave the auld heap a run out to the SVAG show on Sunday.....

I usually write a few lines of rubbish but tonight I'll let the photos do the talking....... At Dubshed it's first outing it took the looooosers prize in the rotten old mk3 golf category!!!!

So I got the call that my parts were powdered, what a nice sight seeing them all fresh and clean......

I opted for the same grey colour that will detail my bay and same finish as my wheels!.....

Whilst I was up dropping the parts off with Stew I had a good sniff about the car, it really is a clean car, underside is just superb!

Stew had just finished painting the inside of my arches Mulberry, now I know to most this is stupid but I really think it deserves a wee bit extra work!.....

So that's it all ready to be built back up so it can roll then a full polish etc before being collected on a flatbed to go get brembos etc fitted and coils set up! :-)

Looking uber good Rich, what's the plan with this one then, weekend car? Daily hack?! Nice to see this high level of attention to detail going into this

Thanks very much fella, it's being built to use as a family hatchback thus the 5dr! It will be used all year round mainly at weekends but during the summer months, evening drives will be entertained! :-)

So today was the start of the build up, mechanic was on site to fit all the goodies, it's taking shape for sure.............

So that's the rear all bolted up with new weitec coils, new vw disc and nice shiney mulberry arches!

Here is the new Milltek zorst bolted in place, was a straight fit and caused Stew no troubles whatsoever!!!! Lol........

So that's us till Monday, it's getting close to polishing stage, that's going to be a milestone for me!

After Stew is finished the car is going to Gerry at PerformanceTek for a full brake over haul, I think he is going to colour code my brake pipes with some lilic ones! Lol he has just sent me a photo of my front Brembos............

I bought the bumper cut out sections off Facebook and the lights off edition38 dude :-)

Eurowagens used to do them on eBay but I haven't seen any for while. I asked a few people on Vw vortex if they'd ship a bumper over from the state's but they wouldn't :(

Thanks Pete, I'm thinking that too, as more work gets done I'm more excited than when I built my Splittie! Lol.....

Gerry boi has had my brakes colour coded to match the mulberry paint, supplied by big Stew too!

While I've been away in Gran Canaria for the last 2 weeks some work has been done on the family hatchback! Big thanks to Gerry for getting the Brembos fitted with custom HEL coloured hoses etc, they really look superb!

The car is in at Trix just now getting the bay done, I'm heading out to see him tomorrow so will update with photos after!

So just back from seeing Dougie Trix, we are going to clean up the bay with some smoothing, paint colour coding and powder coating! The car looks like this.........

I have dropped off all the rest of metal work for the same grey powder coating!

I will deliver all this back to Doug's next weekend so he can get it back on the car ready for the transporter back to Bodyshop to get bay painted!
