964russ 0 Posted May 22, 2013 Report Share Posted May 22, 2013 My vr has grown a new noise!When you start it/switch it off you get a funny rattle/grumble noise. I was thinkin chain.It isnt there when running, or when started cold only on warm start and warm sitch off.Any ideas?Is it sumthing else?Or is time to get the chain done? 964russ 0 Posted May 23, 2013 Author Report Share Posted May 23, 2013 Ive done sum searching and the bolt can stick with age causing noise, more so when warm.Hopefully if i change this bolt it will quieten down.There cheap on ebay £28, part no 021109507b.Is this the later type? 964russ 0 Posted June 15, 2013 Author Report Share Posted June 15, 2013 Fitted new tensioner bolt yesterday and its cured the rumble noise.Old bolt appeares to be sticking half way, when you mess with it the bolt springs open.Full of nasty stuff as well. Link to post Share on other sites
