antera309 3
These devices do, in fact, work really well on Vauxhall Novas. Power outputs of 250BHP are common with no other mods! The device is ingenious in operation - it fools the Nova's ECU into thinking that it's in a Golf R32, and adjusts the car's performance accordingly. Not bad for a tenner!Further gains can be seen by half-filling the Nova's tank with diesel. This will fool the ECU into thinking it's in an InterCity 125 train, producing power figures of 1500BHP+For the ultimate hardcore streetracer (and occasional track day user), you can then go to "Stage 3". This involves rerouting the fuel return line from the injector rail into the exhaust manifold. The "afterburner" effect produced will fool the ECU into thinking it's in an F-16 fighter jet, and the sky's the limit!!!Right, now that we've got the last of those skanky Novas off the road, what were you saying?...Oh yeah, ebay "mod chip" kits. No - don't fit one to your VR6.[ Edited Thu Apr 07 2005, 01:02AM ]
