best ride height on coilovers

Hi, all i am getting my coilovers next week and wondering what is the best hieght front and rear so speed bumps are ok (im surrounded by them lol). If there is anyone close to swansea who has fitted coilovers before any info or help would be great cause im going to try and do it myself.

No such thingas the best ride height. Everyone has their own preference. As long as wishbones stay level when at lowest point you will keep the handling ok. If wishbones point up that can alter the handling

As long as it looks good i dont mind lol. Any idea on a cost to fit coilovers if i cant do it?

Its easy to fit em yourself, just need to get it all realigned afterwards tho.

Fronts are the tricky bit trying to keep some sort of alignment.

Rears are a piece of piss as its just 1 bolt at bottom and a few nuts on top

Get yourself a magnetic camber gauge, it's what I use and touch wood both times the alignment has been ok

I measured mine as a 75mm drop and my front splitter clears a kerb by millimetres, and I get no problems with speed bumps and they're all those stupid arse 1 for each lane bumps round here, so the wheels straddle the low sides and the sump goes over the peak of them, never hit one.

sounds good 75mm it is got a friend coming to help put them in next tuesday new clutch and wheels being done over the weekend to. Will get her polished and put up some pics
