bigsteve 0 Posted March 31, 2012 Report Share Posted March 31, 2012 Right i have done an engine conversion on my mk3 golf it has gone from a 1.4 to a 2.9, me and my mate did the conversion, as he is a mechanic but now i want to delclare it, what paper work do i need to do it??? or do i have to take it to a garage for a engine check. oldmandon 1 Posted March 31, 2012 Report Share Posted March 31, 2012 You need an engineers report saying that the engine has been fitted correctly etc.Generally you take it to an independent garage and their MOT tester will check it over. If your friend is a qualified mechanic, can he not do it for you, or know anyone that can? Link to post Share on other sites
